Ace of spades hand cannon doesn’t feel like an exotic
Hey, this hand cannon use to be my favorite weapon but it doesn’t have that “exotic” feel and more because I’m out tuned by a stupid rat king or a legendary misfit auto rifle. This really concerns me. Please anyone?

4 RepliesAce of Spades has - Radar while ADS (REALLY useful in the Crucible) - Firefly (Makes the gun a PvE powerhouse and can also be pretty handy in PvP if targets are standing close enough together in objective-based modes like Control) - Memento Mori (an objectively better version of Kill Clip) - Among the longest effective ranges of all hand cannons (second only to a max-range Spare Rations if I remember correctly; if anyone can get the specifics of the numbers on this I'd be glad to see/read them) - An easily controllable and predictable recoil pattern (Up and slightly to the side) - A stylish reload animation ( s p i n ) - Some kicka** ornaments (Last Hand is my personal favorite) - Kinetic damage typing; you can pair it with one of the best two shotguns in the game (Mindbender's Ambition and Felwinter's Lie), a Fusion Rifle (which is always a good weapon type no matter the meta), or a sniper. But no. You're right. It doesn't feel exotic. Because none of the things listed above make it stand out.

Ace is good, just wish it did like 5 percent more damage.

Personally, I think Ace is the best feeling gun in the game. It has a great set of perks, and works in any game mode. While it may lack some fancy gimmick, it's a true workhorse that does a little of everything.

Buff it and it can become a problem. Ace is really unique, with radar, firefly, good stats... It definitely stands out when compared to others legendary hand cannons. That’s enough for it to be an exotic. Exotics aren’t supposed to be metas. They just need to be unique and useful when it comes to their exotic perk. Ace is fine. In my opinion 140s are kinda weak.

140’s aren’t in a good spot in general in PvP. Compared to other 140’s, you can tell this thing is exotic at least in PvE.

3 Replies140’s need tuned. They’re outclassed in every way by 150’s. No reason to use them. Unless you want to kill people slower.

Rat king also has 1/5th of its range.

I miss the D1 version. You could clear whole waves of enemies room after room without reloading. . . And with the Silvered Ahamkara grips unloading wasn't ever necessary.

2 RepliesFrom reading your reply to another response it seems to are referring to it not feeling exotic cos you can’t get kills with it in pvp. Unfortunately that’s probably a you problem more than anything. It’s always been a 140 that we’re never op in pvp and was mainly good on pc and not on console.

It’s because it’s a 140. Literally the only reason. On console it’s even worse.

I love it in pve. I think the nerf was uncalled for on console. They really need to balance pc and console separately.

8 RepliesIts like... the single most bloated weapon in the game. It has a better kill clip, outlaw, third eye and fire fly. It also has a completely unique handcannon reload animation and glows when its buffed by its perk that doesn't go away unless you swap or use all 6 rounds. Like dude...what about it ISN'T exotic?

1 ReplyUse range or cover and you’ll beat them. Ace is a great all round weapon it has like 3 exotic perks on it but just doesn’t do something ‘special’. It a reliable, jack of all trades weapon.

The exotic part is that it has firefly, outlaw, kill clip, and third eye all at the same time.

2 RepliesLiterally nothing about it has changed except getting one less memento mori bullet and not keeping them when you swap weapons, and it got a catalyst which makes it better.
