To the Bungie developers currently in charge of sandbox balancing.
What made Antaeus OP was when you buffed them to have a complete 100%, 360* degree immunity shield for a solid 2 second slide.
In a game with TTK’s as low as .46 secs and an average TTK of .8 seconds...
It was a niche exotic prior to the buff that rewarded skilled play but could also be countered by equally skilled players.
After the buff it was the go-to brain dead exotic for Titans that offered complete and total 100% immunity (from any angle), during a slide with NO hard counter.
All this “nerf” does is handicap it’s usage to every 1.5 seconds, remove the reward for making a skilled play while allowing Titans to keep the brain dead immunity shield...
Do you even play your own game? This shit ain’t rocket science! All you had to do was revert the initial buffs. That’s it, that’s all.

64 RepliesIf it's so "brain dead" why do you keep dying to it? Stand back and shoot the butt sliders. I see them when I'm on my titan, hunter and warlock. Do you know what I do? I stand back and shoot the butt sliders. My titan uses the war rig and the sweet business and mows them down. My hunter tosses a smoke and kills them with MIDA, my warlock...hmmm, that one depends. I might be running Palpatine tickle fingers or if I'm running solar, I'll just fly away laughing.

"Baby steps" And by Baby Steps I think they mean falling down. From what I understand the nerf is so insignificant because they haven't had time to actually test anything. They're working on other stuff I suppose.

I hope it’s enough. The super thing honestly annoyed me like crazy. 100 intellect with wards and double pump action literally super on round 2 of a trials game.

2 RepliesWhere did they say they were nerfing it?

I came up with a perfect change for the exotic that allowed them to remain a strong exotic while making them more balanced but NOOOOO... you took the simple route 😂 🤷🏼♂️ Either way it doesnt effect me. I never use them.

This was a good nerf. It still can help you out but only in the very start of a gunfight. And as someone who’s tried using them it’s difficult to get the timing right sometimes. Adding a cool down timer to prevent spam and removing the super gain is a good change.

You're right. They should just return it to its former state before this season. It was a skilled exotic. I took the time to master it over the course of many seasons. Only for them to overtune them and make them pretty oppressive. As a person who plays titan a lot, and has used this exotic for the better part of a year, I hated the changes made in season 10. Prior to this season, I was often praised for my adeptness with them, because it really was a skilled exotic that required perfect timing and mastery. That's where it should be headed, not this drastic change; nor the changes made this season. It was balanced before season 10, now it will be imbalanced in the opposite direction.

All they had to do was remove the 360 shield and maybe the shield duration slightly but nooo bungie has to ruin something that could of been easily fixed instead of focusing on other stupid exotics such as wormhusk.
