Community Q&A: Controller Remapping
Howdy,
Announced earlier today, Destiny 2 Update 2.9.0 will have a new Controller Remapping feature, increasing accessibility options and giving players the option to change many aspects of how they play Destiny on a controller.

Slide with r1? just what I've always wanted... Now I can spam slide like Warframe with a max mobility load out and my Control Freaks, watch as I'll ghost people around coners in Crucible as I slide into their blindspots with a shotty of a fusion.. Maybe it will distract people from the poor game design the last few seasons. What are we puppies with ADHD? Oh look squirrel(the stranger).. All jokes aside, cool idea. I'm still upset over how the seasonal content didnt feel fulfilling though.

1 ReplyI have been waiting for this since season of Undying. The finisher is the culprit because of the habits I have developed, I always press the R3 when firing. With this I can remap a finisher to be L3 plus R3 and no more ruining my SMG bounty.

I want to be able to change my sensitivity for aiming down sight and have it a different sensitivity for hipfire. Different sensitivities for vertical looking and horizontal looking Even adjusting my dead zones. And auto sprint. Because there’s no point ever in the history of d2 where I thought. I should be walking right now

1 ReplyHey Bungie (if you see this), I really like the idea of remapping my controller and I hope it’s as good in execution as it is in thought. Quality of life changes are always appreciated. The question: Will we (if not now ever) be able to differentiate between a normal and charged melee?

1 Replylol if youre on xbox you can already do this. PC can do this without any help as well so i guess this is for PS players, wouldnt know dont own a PS. Just seems like wasted time to me

thank you we will see if we can fix my issue,Icarus dash and Hunter Dodge looks like it'll take care of that. if you had done this sooner I would have probably not deleted my hunter. I admit it was more of a tactical decision anyway. if there is a way to merge the skill trees eventually and let people use the Super's they want no matter what class are you be appreciated. this will probably take another patch before you can fix this issue I would like to have the ghost app on my Xbox app my mind is a little bit of everywhere sorry about that. my biggest issue is having have a headset to be able to talk to people and it continuously breaking. I found a solution for using a standing microphone, but is very convoluted because I have to stream to do so and I do not like that. just to let you know I'm using a razor microphone an Xbox manually will not recognize it. the standing microphone has been moved to the PC, that's the reason for the necessary need to stream to my Xbox will recognize it. screaming it makes me uncomfortable I only want to talk to the people there I'm with or nearby in the game, not the whole entire internet. when I test my stream it works as I intended, when I stream the representation of the microphone is working is gone. I know this is a lot to throw at you but at least you know now.

Is there going to be an automatic sprint option shipping with the remapping changes? My wrist usually hurts from pressing sprint so many times after a long session, so any word on a feature like that would be incredible. Additionally, will there be an option to enable contextual tapping to interact? Like the ability to only press the button to revive instead of holding it in. Really love the work that is being put into this, thank you and stay safe!

I think a nice QoL update would be the option to raise the crosshairs on console. I can't stand the lowered option when I go on my Xbox vs my pc
