Will a kinetic weapon with osmosis still trigger the explosion from the chromatic fire exotic?

3 RepliesIt should, it is still a kinetic round. Something else to note, osmosis does not register as an elemental kill. At least not for bounty sake (unless changed recently).

3 RepliesI know Verity Brow doesn’t trigger on Osmosis kills, so I’d imagine it would work for Chromatic Fire, as the weapon is still treated as a kinetic

Osmosis doesn't progress energy weapon bounties so one would assume that means they are still kinetic weapons.

Yes. It should.

An osmosis weapon is still kinetic in every sense - it's only the perk which allows an element to be applied and will allow extra damage for singe modifiers and will allow shield break bonus damage.

It didn't work for me. But I haven't tried it in awhile.

Maybe, it worked with ace of spades till they patched it in fear of the old firefly crash returning.

Chromatic Fire doesn't need to be used with an energy weapon iirc, so it should work either way
