When playing crucible, I am occasionally being connected to servers in the US from the EU and therefore I'm having a higher latency which makes an advantage for other teams that are playing from the US. I'm sure that the majority of players are from the US which is probably the reason why matchmaking put's me there.
Don't think this is intended behavior, I remember we had option to be on a specific region when game was on Blizzard launcher. But now that doesn't seem to be a case.
So my questions are:
- Has this been reported already?
- Is there anything that can be done to prevent this?
- If I block US servers IPs locally would that prevent me from being matched with players from the US?
- Is this planned to be changed if it's a known problem?
Thank you Bungie for your hard work on this game, it's really the best one I have ever played. But this problem is, unfortunately, preventing me to advance in PVP from which I don't want to give up.

Hi there. In addition to what Criidelm said, you may need to change your geolocation inside your modem. It's possible it has a US location enabled instead of an EU location.

3 RepliesEhr, there are no game servers as you see in other online games. The Bungie server you connect to when you launch D2 is for authentication, items/vaults stuff mostly. When you play PvP, you get connected to the other players via UDP protocol, plus a Cloud server that takes care of keeping track of the score and anything match-related.
