I have noticed within this whole season that players refuse to get any better at this game or to even to have fun. It is just players sticking together nonstop now. Maybe it is the tryhards pretending to be good or practicing their wannabe MLG tournament strategies for their pretend tournament of skill. I remember when the matches used to have diversity in them and everyone wasnt acting like they are getting ready for a Trials version of 6V6. It is sad that lobby balancing and matchmaking has gotten this low. It doesnt matter if I am in Classic Mix or Control, the matches all end up the same. The playstyles are always the same. Teams of 2+ or more against solo qued players are always the same. Rush together and shotgun then rinse and repeat with no primary usage other than the easiest ones in the game Camp together and lane with scout snipers because screw using a primary that requires any sort of skill. Oh dont forget about the abusiveness of this playstyle so you will go positive no matter what so you can keep your fake stats as high as possible. Can we bring in the idea that when you abuse special weapons that you do not get ammo back? Make primaries grant ammo for special to force players to stop playing like players with no thumbs. Bring back the skill gap. Bring back the times when players actually knew how to use a primary rather than spending matches on matches abusing the same loadouts. What baffles me even further is I see streamers who have no idea some weapons exist because they spend hundreds of hours never putting down their “Precious” “Crutch” of loadouts. I miss the days when you didnt have to worry about 3+ players rushing together to avoid any type of real engagements so they can farm supers and stats. I miss the days when it was extremely rare for a sniper to get a headshot on opponent after taking flinch. I miss the days when players would actually challenge you with diversity rather than use Bungie’s personal armory of easy mode weapons. I miss the days when I didnt have to sweat each and every day of each and every match just to play the Crucible. I remember when the Crucible was once fun even when we had to deal with the Clever Dragon from D1. Allowing teams of 3+ or more face solo players is ridiculous. Do you not realize how much coordination those players have over players who are just playing Crucible for bounties or for fun? It is dumb as crap that this hasnt been addressed at all. If they want to sweat their lives away then let them face other teams just like they do in MLG tournaments. You dont see those tournaments putting solos against teams so why would you think it is okay to do it here in regular QP. Nope, all we got now is Stomp-EEs with any broken void or arc subclasses, Transverse Steps with Attunement of Sky, special weapon abuse, invisibility crutching, kneeling off radar using and teamrushing or shooting. This is apparently the new skill in the game and I disgusted that it has gotten this low. Thanks, Bungie, for making the game into a “Teamshooting, Special Weapon Abusing, Leg Armor Crutching Simulator”.
