Canon class for THE guardian
If there was a ‘canon’ class for THE guardian, which would it be?

I think it doesnt matter. which one is canon. I believe each Year is for each character. [b][/b]Red War [b][/b] - Hunter, Titan, and Warlock are powerless and have to start from the ground up to take back their City. [b][/b]Forsaken [b][/b] - Hunter is sent with Cayde-6 to the Prison of Elders, and Cayde gets his Ghost destroyed as he dies in the Hunter's arms. Hunter vows revenge on his killers. [b][/b]Shadowkeep [b][/b] - Warlock is sent to the Moon to figure out whats going on and Eris Morn helps them fight off Nightmares she released. [b][/b]Beyond Light [b][/b] - Titan is sent to investigate the disturbance on Europa, Variks assists them in stopping a Fallen leader named Eramis who learned to use the Darkness, as a new subclass known as Stasis.

5 RepliesI think it’s a Hunter. Just think about it: Goes around the system doing whatever the fÜk they want without any company whatsoever other than Ghost’s. Is a bounty-hunter. Only wants loot but is still a guardian so they still help the vanguard and the city. Is Cayde’s favorite -i don’t think Cayde’s favorite would ever be a Titan or Warlock- Searches vengance for Cayde more than anyone else without the vanguard’s consent Is sent on dangerous missions alone -campaign- The vanguard sends them to scout unexplored areas Is always up for some disobedience -like when we went into the dreadnaught without any permission. Or like when we went to the quarantined cosmodrome to get the Thunderlord-

All 3: Prefer to work alone (Hunter) Knows each raid encounter instantly (Warlock) Always at the front of the fight (Titan)

You’re the canon in your own game so whichever one you chose. I firmly believe that Bungie never had any intention on there being a ‘canon class’.

I've been a warlock fanboi since day 1. That being said if you think about it from the perspective of actually being in the universe of destiny. One would probably start off as a hunter or titan and then study the light hard in order to become a warlock and utilize the light to that depth. So it's more likely that The guardian is a hunter or titan. Or All 3 toward the end.

6 Replies1: hunters are hiding from the vanguard and aren’t anywhere near the city but the guardian is, so they can’t be a hunter 2: titans are crayon eaters that punch everything in sight. The guardian is not a titan for obvious reasons 3: that leaves one option

Edited by Grays_KS27: 6/3/2020 11:10:27 AMFoxburton99 has put forward the idea that Bungie is leaning towards Titan, because of the Taken King live action trailer where the Titan is the one who attacks Oryx. We don’t see this as full confirmation, but it’s worth considering. And we should also hold in account that The Guardian doesn’t seem to be treated as a Hunter because we aren’t even considered for being the next Hunter Vanguard. But really The Guardian is meant to be any of the three Classes, fitting into whichever role so that it doesn’t matter which Class the player picks or what decisions/achievements they make.
