I miss you midnight, I have way too many kills with it and now it's getting sunset and on top of that they are nerfing outlaw. Please at least let me put on seasonal mods like anti barrior.

You still use it???😐

I said goodbye to Midnight Coup nearly two years ago

77 RepliesLol. This is why they sunset. OP needs to use the same gun for 3+ years.
-
3 RepliesThought the raid weapons weren’t getting sunset-ted(ed)...
-
1 ReplySentimental attachment aside, do you not have a well rolled Dire Promise?
-
5 RepliesI still havnt got that hand cannon ive always wanted it but it never dropped and i only did the raid a few times with my son ...too afraid to look for a guided fireteam but i hope it gets thrown in the loot pool....🤞🏽
-
3 RepliesImagine a game with 600+ weapons and only using 1 for 3+ years 😂
-
2 RepliesBigDadyCalus you make some valid points and i agree that eververse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defences, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

22 RepliesBoo hoo. You have to leave behind old gear like literally every other loot game and rpg ever.

Every season, I've brought it up to Pinnacle power level, and I just hang onto it. It sits in the first slot of my vault, waiting... That particular Coup sent 78,500 agents of darkness to their graves. Its brothers took the total over 92,000, but met their untimely ends when Bungie locked their power level. This Coup is the only one that remains. And soon, it too, will meet the fate of its kin. No gun that feels as good has been made, since. That's alarming, and why I'll never support sunsetting.
-
12 RepliesThe Midnight Coup, my only gun that has over 20k kills on it (20,475 to be exact) I would still be using it if champion mods could be slotted.
-
The good thing on bungies laziness is that we will get a all our weapons back. Ok little worse perks, different color and name but basically the same guns. Just got to regrind them ;-)
-
Dude you can still use it for the next season.......
-
It was already pretty irrelevant when Forsaken came around. I said goodbye to those weapons long ago.

27 RepliesEdited by RopeAdope: 6/2/2020 6:57:16 PMI think it’s pretty cool. In fact, I think it’s a great example of why “sunsetting” isn’t needed. As so many like to point out, why would anyone use anything but the best of the best? Midnight Coup is hardly that, and yet still used. Still viable, potentially, as evidenced by This. Its not meta. Not op. Power creep? Nope. Sentimental? Absolutely. Is that a bad thing? I don’t see how it would be. I debated this issue regarding my quick fang when Tusk was rolled out. I ultimately decided to move on. The difference is , that was my choice to do so. I think that is the main issue with sunsetting. Choice Edit:sp

9 RepliesI still use Year 1 Better Devils in most activities. I feel like I’m missing something here though. I don’t know if I’ve been told false information or if this is true, so I would like someone to clarify if possible. Isn’t this system supposed to be strictly Endgame? If this is true, what would stop you from you using your Midnight Coup in non endgame activities?
-
I feel the same way with my Beidenhander with 5000+ kills 😭 I hope they change their minds.......
-
Goodbye year 1 perfect paradox 11 thousand PvE kills, I'm so proud of you *Sniff* You be good okay?? *Cries* Daddy still loves you! 😭

You sound way too worried man.

6 RepliesEdited by thatdudeEd54: 6/2/2020 10:38:22 PMRelax you have 1 more season to play around with it at max power
-
Dont worry, u will likely be able to re-earn it at some point.
-
It will probably be back next season with random rolls
-
Yeah that’s a bit sad you can’t run your favorite things while playing a new DLC.

8 RepliesGoodbye all gear in Destiny 2. Goodbye Destiny 2 in general.

I still don’t understand Bungie’s “it’s bad that people have a preference” mindset. Just why?

Edited by Soundwave: 6/2/2020 10:46:32 PMAll those people saying you shouldn't be able to use the same weapon for years. That's not up to them. Or that you can still use it in random activities. Well, what if you farmed it specifically for endgame? I have weapons I main but I still try out lot's of other weapons. I still farm all the newer weapons even though I have everything I need. Sometimes I'll just randomly pull out a gun from my vault I haven't used in a while to just change things up. I shouldn't be forced to change things up though. It's nice to have a weapon that is always reliable and there ready to be used, like your Midnight Coup. Edit: In fact, the only reason I wouldn't farm new weapons is if I can't hold anymore stuff in my vault. I'm at the point where my vault is always in the 490+ range. I play on 3 characters and have gotten rid of all the armor I can. I have duplicates for a lot of weapons since I like to have PvP and PvE rolls or just like to have different combinations. I also keep a lot of stuff that isn't obtainable anymore or won't be obtainable soon. All these factors combined adds up to 500 and I still haven't played a lot of the raids and farmed every weapon. I'm at the point where I can't get a lot of new stuff. They really just need to increase the vault to like at least 750. But maybe 1000 since eventually 750 won't be enough and it takes them forever to do anything.
