Then that must be such an inconvenience to life and a bad play for evolution. I'm talking about like the bosses who are like 20ft tall or the real big boys. All the architectural compensation you need for buildings or even managing to have enough resources for keeping healthy and not starving. I think it's a pretty silly concept if enemies are really huge big boys.

Imagine a huge Kell trying to go about the ketch he commands and hitting his head everywhere.

1 ReplyYeah Calus wouldn't really fit anywhere. Or fake Calus, I guess. Wonder when we'll finally see the real guy.
-
1 ReplyI forget where it was mentioned. A well-fed and ether-fueled Eliksni's height is supposedly the size of a Kell. Fallen used to be more moth like in appearance too. Probably looked similar to the Luminoth from Metroid Prime: Echoes.

4 RepliesFallen are spiders, so it isn’t that socially awkward for them to crawl through ship hatches. Hive that are big are typically ascendant Hive, so they mostly use portal systems as shown in Taken King. Don’t think Vex use architecture in the same way we do, and Cabal are based on the Romans. So, bigger the better.

1 ReplyMeh Id rather fight a big boy then a little boy... bullet sponge minors are the worst. Don’t make them bosses too😂

1 ReplyThe traveler exists in this world and you're worried about having enough resources? It's make believe brother man.

Edited by Grays_KS27: 6/1/2020 12:35:14 AMAlmost all their sizes are canon, though some specific characters aren’t sized correctly. For example, Fallen technically only come in 2 sizes in-game, so there are a couple Fallen Captains that are incorrectly the size of a Kell while all the Barons we fight are only the size of Captains. For all the races their canon sizes are explained and make at least a little sense in some way. But some species have issues with architecture. Here is what SuperSkyBro said about each species’ sizes: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/256187116/0/0/1 For architecture, here’s what I’ve observed: Cabal: Most of their architecture is made to where Cabal of any size can fit without much trouble. In some locations, regular doorways and hallways appear to be too low to fit the largest Cabal. Fitting any larger Cabal in a Harvester doesn’t make sense, though. Fallen: Everything seems to be made to fit even the largest Fallen. It is questionable wether or not a Kell can fit in some areas, but telling by our battles in the Traitor’s Ketch it is possible for a Kell-sized Fallen to fit within a Ketch’s smallest hallways. Fitting one in a Skiff doesn’t make sense, though. Hive: Their architecture is much less consistent in size and tends to have many large spaces and passageways fit for the largest Hive, but also with spaces too small for them. This is a tad irrelevant because some Hive can create tears through the Ascendant Realm as portals for transportation. And, of course, fitting an Ogre inside a Tomb Ship doesn’t make sense. Vex: Absolutely no problems. They can transport units of any size through the Gate system, no matter the size of the gate. They’re architecture tends to have tons of space, and they’re teleportation makes small passageways irrelevant.

I've been thinking this since y1 D1 when we entered Rockets McDickface's ship. The cabal are literally too big to fit in their own spaceships. Either they are born inside the ship and never leave, or those drop pods fly all the way from the Cabal home world. This and other size inconsistencies over the years, like the entrances to Lost Sectors, kind of stretch believability at times.

1 ReplyCabal are the only ones who dont have a good reason. Best I can figure is that high ranking cabal have exo suit's. Vex are more or less robots and can be built to any size. Fallen grow based on the amount of ether they receive and have indeterminate growth. Hive are basically insect's with indeterminate growth. So they will continue to grow so long as they live and since they are more or less immortal they can reach massive sizes.

5 RepliesOk there are reasons for each race here, and they're all different Cabal: cabal are masters of gene manipulation, able to create battle ready soldiers within minutes. The bathers from the leviathan are a good example, it also explains characters like valus ta'aurc and his massive size. Not many people know this Fallen: the Eliksni have evolved alongside this strange chemical known as ether. Ether works as both oxygen, steroids, potentially even food but that last ones not confirmed. When a fallen drinks enugh ether they increase in size and bulk, not very scientific but hey you get what you pay for. Hive: similar to the fallen, the Hive increase their size with sci-fi mumbo jumbo as well. When a hive acquires enugh tithe from killing and destruction they begin to increase in size and power. Oryx is a prime example Vex: they just build bigger frames for axis mind level Vex

3 RepliesI get ogres and so on... but why do the leaders for every race have to be supersized versions? I could buy it for a single race as a cultural thing... but all of them? (Yeah, there have been a couple exceptions like the Psion Flayers but in general if you make boss rank, you get supersized)
-
Different species might have different efficiency levels. Consider the above.
-
8 RepliesI can understand big Hive or Vex, but I don’t really get it with Fallen or Cabal.
-
6 RepliesIf they make a new race, the big ones should be the minors and the small ones should be the majors/bosses.
-
You ever seen a mouse?
-
That you think ogres being big is a silly concept, but are all in on space magic using zombie techno wizards, speaks volumes about the relevance of your opinion.

Because they’re dead in minutes due to all the guardians running around.
