I don’t get it what makes them so much better that there is a ton of them in pvp?

It’s the jump for me.

Easy movement

The jump and the dodge. Also spectral blades. And blade barrage.

Hunters have a secret in built perk that can cause the nerf of any class ability or Exotic armour piece that causes them to die in PvP.

Jump and Dodge, and aside from some of Gunslinger's/Blade Barrage's kit(sans Super), abilities that make up for their lack of raw power with basic, ease of use and high adaptability that when paired with higher skill can lead to high lethality. Aside from a great player on top Dawnblade, they have very arguably the best movement for use mid-engagement compared to the other classes(at least on console), which is made even stronger by some Exotic armor. And that's especially so in closer range engagements.

1 ReplyFrom what I understand it's the jump that makes them popular. The dodge ability is another big perk of being a hunter. Those are top two reasons. For what it's worth, popular isn't necessarily better. I feel like there quality of Titan players in general is higher than Hunter players.

Agility, and Abilities that are the most useful for 1v1 combat with other players. I can't tell you how many times being able to dodge out of a lane....or being able to triple jump has saved my ass in a gunfight in PVP. Titans and Warlocks don't have the same escapability....and the game is tuned and balanced in a way that doesn't allow their abilities to compensate for that lack of agility. As long as you don't stand still a Titan's straight-ahead speed isn't that big of an advantage.....and its laughably easy to scrape a Warlock off of a healing rift.
