Destiny has become a shell of what is once was, and is has always been a shell of what it could be. Right now there is very approximately 1/3 of the population remaining from shadowkeep launch. How can anyone even try to defend Destiny now. How do people seriously say that there isn’t anything wrong and everyone is just a crybaby. Do they really think that they are smarter than over 100k other people that have various reasons to leave the game? How can they possibly defend the game with so many people leaving.

This might surprise you, but more people play during the annual dlc releases because those are the biggest content drops.

The game will live on so long as Bungie chooses. It shouldn’t be around after 3 revisions but here we are anyway

6 RepliesIt always drops this bad late into a season. Next season numbers will spike again, just like every game when new content releases. Its not a constant line when it comes to a game's population, its a valley when content releases.

While Destiny is struggling, Funny story: Remember that Centurion Oryx took right after you landed on the Dreadnaught, then the Centurion and the taken Ogre tried to stop you from killing the King? Heh... didn't work. So the Centurion's bond brothers are pretty angry they lost their commander. They're leading a team to blow up the Dreadnaught's core. Core goes... most of the system goes with it. You're going to make sure that doesn't happen.

1 ReplyNonstop_Hockey you make some valid points and i agree that eververse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defences, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

5 RepliesBungie does one season that is more focused on PVP and people are losing it. Scrubs....

Edited by AngThePandaQueen: 5/28/2020 4:14:22 PMOne thing I'll say is that people can like it without being less intelligent than people that dont like it. In my opinion alot of what I have read has been communicated in the wrong way so can come across as a " cry baby" or " whining". The reason I would say I dont care about changes is because I dont get attached and just play when I want. Even when I did play every day in D1 at the start it was for fun and stress relief, so I dont allow myself to get stressed over it. If it goes to crap and I dont enjoy it, I will simply move on or take a break as I have many times. I think alot of people need to take more breaks.

D2 was pathetic since the beta, when it was obvious everything was downgraded and changed to worse

1 ReplyThey'll be back when there's new content in the fall just like every year. I like the mod system they came up with this year, it adds a lot to the gameplay. This has been one of the BEST years of Destiny in my opinion.

The game/s never have or will be perfect, and they can’t make every happy. As of right now they are all working from while people complain bout everything that moves show empathy out yourself and there shoes. I would say this season is a little underwhelming but I find season like this a great time to grind for things you didn’t have the time for previously. Personally this season gave me time to go for the reckoner title.

I dont believe they are trying to retain a majority of that population. Its basically impossible as theyve noticed during the entire life of Destiny. Probably why they went free to play for vanilla, to bring in people with little game development time invested. Most of the people only like september releases, typically a new feel to the game, a new raid and new story. The seasonal content is mostly for the most hardcore players that love to play destiny year round. I think they are just keeping us busy while they are working on D3, but thats just my theory.

1 Reply... You do understand this is how games work right? It always has been. Destiny has been repeating the same cycle for the past 6 years. Lackluster spring stuff. Amazing fall stuff. Except for shadowkeep. Shadowkeep was lame. I mean it's always fun to see these posts pop up every year. But christ guys. Just go play another game for a couple months. It's a game. Not a contract you signed. Regardless of terrible PVE content PVP will always be an absolute blast in this game. It's always good to play a little with friends and have a good time.

There’s lots wrong with Destiny AND a large portion of the vocal playerbase are being crybabies. Both can be true. Both are true. And people are irrational and leave for stupid reasons (reducing outlaw by roughly .2 seconds for example). So judging the intelligence of the dev team based on the irrational behavior of the players is not something that’s logical. I’m not saying there aren’t big flaws. There are. Bungie does a ton of things wrong (most of s10, for example). You want to leave for things like that: I see it as premature, but it’s completely logical. But I’ve heard only a few people talk about leaving because of how epically bad s10 is. But I’ve heard seemingly a million voices cry because of sunsetting and reload perks - all before anybody actually sees how it plays out. If more people are (threatening) to leave because of sunsetting and reload perks before actually seeing how those come to pass, then yes, I’d say it’s a good bet Bungie IS smarter than those people.

28 RepliesAs bad as Bungie’s management is...it’s still the best game around right now. Triple A gaming is trash these days 🤷♂️

The game was 1/3rd the forsaken population by season of the drifter. That’s usually how the game works. The majority jump in for the fall expansion then gradually fall off the wagon until next fall. People aren’t leaving, the population has stayed steady for 2 weeks. I’ve been watching it because of posts like these. Also let’s not pretend like 100k people have ever agreed on anything. The most upvotes you guys have gotten is a couple thousand, not even 1% of the daily active playerbase.
