What was once a fierce perk for rocket launchers turned into a joke and no one used them anymore.
We accepted this and moved on. Players found other weapons for DPS.
After recently receiving a Mos Epoch III from Rahool with Cluster Bombs I thought Why Not and took it into the Crucible. It was supposed to be a fun session with no real intention of winning. To my surprise I discovered (after numerous matches) that:
A) it still sucks (no shocker there) and
B) it can do zero damage
Yes you heard it here fokes! Zero damage. The rocket explodes like normal doing the usual damage but those cherry bombs can be nothing more than sparklers. The best part? This isn't a few times. Oh no no no; the zero damage pops up more than half the time.
I don't expect this to get a buff anytime soon. I just wanted to let players and Bungie know that this is either a bug or really crappy perk design. Thank you for your time.

1 ReplyCluster bombs in general are just a horrible useless perk. Even in pve they do diddly squat. I've on many occasions tried using them in activities like escalation protocol or in lost sectors or in strikes or gambit and they can detonate right next to 5 thralls or dregs and kill none of them.

1 ReplyBefore, cluster bombs were a must-have in any PvP rocket. Now, you actually have a choice.

4 RepliesMos Epoch is the most doodoo rocket launcher I've ever used. I wouldn't be surprised if the clusters took on it's trait of sucking at their job.

1 ReplyPretty much why I don’t use rockets...

1 ReplyThey nerfed the blast radius of cluster bombs. I think they did it because it did too much damage against riven.

1 ReplyPretty such anyone within range of the cluster bombs would have been killed by the rocket first.
