Fourth Horseman Useless
To go through the whole quest for this gun then get what turned out to be a real joke is redonkulous. It fires 4 ineffective shots so fast that the magazine is always empty. The player should at least be able to unload those 4 shots into a yellow-bar & have it die as a reasult. Then it takes a 5-second eternity to reload & even though I haven't completed the interminable grind to get the masterwork catalyst, I doubt that when (or if) I ever get it, it will increase the reload speed enough to actually become useful.
This was a totally waste of time quest.

The only thing I dont like about it, is the servers cant keep up with the damage at times, resulting in them regenerating a chunk of health. Also controllers aren't sensitive enough to fire just 1 shot resulting if controller users wasting ammo

3 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 5/26/2020 4:36:16 PMSounds like you just haven't learned how to use the weapon properly. First off, you NEED the catalyst for this gun to be good. No way around it. Secondly, it demands a specific playstyle. It's a brutal hit-and-run weapon for taking down yellows and staying mobile. Get into the rhythm of auto-reloading it with stuff like Transversive Steps, Snapload Finisher, Marksman's Dodge, and Inertia Override. And make sure you hit your target with every consecutive blast at point blank so the Broadside damage buff kicks in. THAT is when the weapon becomes nasty.

I don’t know about that. I have mine masterworked and love it for PVE. Nothing like shredding a yellow bar in 1 second. It’s one of the few things that feel powerful to me in the past year.

You're probably standing too far back. Lol. Notice the short range? Maybe watch some reviews of the gun before doing that really long quest line, since you time is so valuable. Lol.

Pvp yea mostly useless. Can shut down supers well if you have perfect timing. Pve, it has one job and one job only. Damage fast. Not a single weapon in the game outside heavy or another exotic is capable of competing with it. It’s a point blank weapon, in theory, they die or you do.

Edited by TheArtist: 5/26/2020 2:18:51 PMYou're too far away. Fourth Horsman's range is very short and its drop off is severe. You basically need to think of it as a POINT-BLANK weapon, not a short-range weapon. ...and the reload time massively improves with the Catalyst.

The only way I found to make it usefull is by playing a sliding shotgun Titan build with middle arc tree. (Code of the missile) It has an ability that allow you to reload the weapon by sliding over ammunition.

5 RepliesI have the catalyst, and it about doubles the reload. And the 4th horseman was meant for burst DPS, at EXTREMELY close range.
