Does this mean they're sunsetting Gambit Prime Armour?
As an avid Gambit Prime player (Top 0.2% Elo) Does bungie seriously expect me to play the competitive gamemode that is Gambit Prime without the armour made for that activity, i seriously hope they consider this move better as they are effectively alienating the Gambit prime player base, or at least exempt Gambit Prime armour sets from being sunset

I think the optimal solution would be to remove light level advantage from Gambit and Gambit Prime altogether.

i have it on no authority they are going to sunset everything we like. using the same process as they do deciding what gets nerfed. they like that over there, nerf it.

Most ppl likely don’t even know gambit is PL enabled. Or have gone the pain of recko to get the best gambit armour.

2 RepliesBungie will have to figure something out, I can’t remember who’s video it was I watched but supposedly Gambit is getting reworked in Season 14. Hopefully this means some balancing and sandbox changes. Gambit has always had it’s own meta compared to every other part of the game. I would hope they would realize that sunsetting armor that plays a MAJOR role in a mode would be a huge mistake, unless down the road they are making all new Prime armor sets. As for your part of the post about ELO, like I said in a response down below. ELO is a very flawed ranking system and WAY to many people use ELO as a crutch to say they’re good. You can be a sh*t player on a team that frequently wins and gain ELO which is absolutely no reflection of YOU as a player.....only the teams that you’re on. ELO absolutely works for Rumble but no other part of this game competitively. If you want to show or prove how good you are then go by your INDIVIDUAL stats, not points you gain whether you win or lose. I really wish people would stop crutching ELO. The truly Top players don’t say sh*t about ELO and know it’s a scrub rank.....WooHoo, you win but play like hot garbage. I wouldn’t brag about that. AND I’M SPEAKING IN GENERAL....NOT directly at you since I don’t know if you’re garbage and haven’t seen your stats.

The only set really worthless might be the invader set, cause unless you stall the bank for time, you're getting murked every time. The other's will still have use, assuming you don't get instakilled by an invader. Sad to see either way.

Agreed. I don't think the intention is to shake up the GP meta so Reckoning armour should be exempt from sunsetting. Or, it should be refreshed to start dropping with a seasonal mod slot.

3 RepliesGambit Elo? lol. The only way Elo could possibly mean anything in Gambit is if you're playing in a premade team against other premade teams, ALL of the time. If you play solo it just means you got lucky with blueberries who actually kill blockers and bank motes.

4 RepliesSo firstly Gambit enemies are always at your level so you won't need to be at power cap to play, so your 'hard earned' loot can still be used... Gambit has never and probably will never be a pinnacle activity so it doesn't matter what yllight you are.
