So about a week ago I got a temporarily restriction for having unstable internet connection at first I was shocked why would a game ban you for not having good internet connection not everybody has the BEST connection. I know that it affects they're gameplay but not allowing them to play for 2 weeks or more is torture. Since I LOVE playing Crucible and Gambit. I never thought it would actually BAN you for having unstable internet connection. Bungie if you're listening to this please consider to change it since it's unfair for both the players and your game. (Since you would lose players if you kept banning people).

Edited by blackninja1969: 10/26/2021 7:13:19 PMYea its not fair punish the people who are giving you money and player count. And its something they can not control. My friend is 2 week ban rn and he can't get better internet cause he lives out of town he has the best he can buy so bungie just doesnt care about their customer's.

6 RepliesIt’s the perfect thing to do. You ruin all gameplay for everyone in your game. You’re rude and self centered to expect anyone to play with a useless glitcher/lagger
-
It's completely fair and they should be doing it. If your poor internet ruins the game for 11 other players that's completely on you. If you internet is poor then get it sorted, that's on you, no one else.

4 RepliesIt's totally fair...

12 RepliesThank you Bungie for banning players with crap internet. No one likes to play against or with them. This person just shows that some dont care if they have bad internet and want to continue playing on bad internet. Even though they agreed to have good internet when playing this game. When these players are removed, it improves the gaming experience of everyone that person could have matchmade with. Seems like this person also wont take the 2 weeks to improve their internet, so i guess they will just get the 2 month suspension? Then probably permanent? Too bad.... Thanks again!

No Playing an online game when you know you have bad internet that causes problem for others is horrible If you know you have bad internet you should NOT be playing an online game

1 ReplyEdited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 5/26/2020 10:07:50 AMGood stable internet connection is listed as the game's system requirement. D2's networking has peer-to-peer parts in it. That's why they've implemented those requirements and you agree to them upon accessing the game. It's not about maintaining 'the best' experience for those with good connections at the cost of those with bad connections. It's about maintaining a bare minimum of playability for those who play this product within it's pre-defined enviroment / requirements, and those with bad connections are breaking that enviroment. Playing pvp with folks with bad connections degrades the experience for those playing who have done nothing wrong, while those with bad connections didn't read / don't care about the game's requirements and are actively breaking them. This is the reason you're suspended from pvp activities.

14 RepliesKeep playing with a shitty connection so you get longer term bans, eventually permanently or get better internet.
-
Let me guess, you are still on WiFi, right?
-
Peer to peer servers are a pain in the ass. Ppl with slower internet connections get punished cuz Bungie is cheap and lazy. Hell, everyone suffers. Even players with really solid internet have to deal with invincible lag warriors teleporting everywhere and getting shot through walls. I have a good LAN connection and every single pvp or gambit match I play is plagued with lag and it keeps getting worse every month that goes by.
-
Stop having crap internet.
-
The bans are fine. Either that or put everyone that has crap internet and make them only able to play with others with crap internet. Just like cheaters should only ever be able to play other cheaters after they have been caught.

2 RepliesYou know what is really funny? Players complaining about lag filled lobbies blaming SBMM, LOL. How is this possible if Bungie is banning players for having bad connections? Kinda undercuts those complaints.
-
9 RepliesIt's 100% fair. For having bad internet, you are literally making the rest of the game miserable for everyone else. Yes, I can understand that in some areas of the world, you can't get the best internet. But that still ain't a reason to get off the hook. Maybe the banning is too harsh, but in this game, having bad internet and lagging all over the place seems to only benefit the person lagging. It's like you all have god mode and teleport hacks on in PvP. It's super frustrating and ruins the game for everyone you play with. Maybe what Bungie can do is only allow players with horrible internet to play players with bad internet and let them duke it out. Only then, you'll understand why they had a ban system in place for people with McDonald's internet.

5 RepliesEdited by TenebrisDumplin: 5/24/2020 4:21:09 AMIf your connection is bad enough that it is an active detriment to other players, you deserve to get banned. It is not difficult to get sufficient internet speeds to play Destiny 2.
-
Your connection affects other players. Especially in end game. Bump your connection speed.
-
2 RepliesI mean they do give multiple warnings and restrictions before they actually do the banning. Pretty much on you if you don't try to find a way to fix your internet or at least not play PvP until your connection is stable enough.
