Bruh transmog for silver is just disgusting.
Just make it free for the people who have been buying your trash ass seasons and expansions. So people gonna buy the September dlc and you’ll still ask them to buy the transmog via silver? You want my kidney as well?

2 RepliesMy biggest issue with this is they announced it alongside sunsetting armor. What if you REALLY like the Crown of Sorrow raid armor? You're telling me that you're going to degrade said favorite looking armor set, and then offer a transmog system, earn-able through in game effort OR silver? I've already earned the armor sets through playing the activities as well as technically purchased them. Now you want people to re-earn them or repurchase them? I don't think so.

Bungie is slowly inching more and more monetisation methods into Destiny and usually small changes that make you think "Eh, its not that big of a deal is it?" but then you add 'em all up... * Buy-able ranks from the season pass near the end of a season. * Transmog with a silver cost or a vague 'ingame effort' method, FOR ARMOUR YOU HAVE ALREADY EARNED / PAID FOR! * Bright Dust Economy has been shafted and possibly even more shafted if the new account based earning actually gives you less than if you play all 3 characters. They also added certain consumables which should be purchased at the gunsmith but are instead in Eververse for bright dust. If you don't push back against slimy monetisation methods like this then you just signal to Bungie that you find it fine and they will keep pushing more and more in until you push back, which for some people will be possibly never.

In games like WoW where Luke Smith loves to draw inspiration from the transmog system is fairly well implemented. Once you get a weapon or armor piece the appearance of the item is instantly added to your collection and you can transmog to it at any time for free. However, it's not like Destiny 2 has paid Expansions, deluxe editions, battles passes, and a ridicolous amount of content behind the microtransaction locked Eververse store. There will never be enough revenue for Bungie. Got to make all the money.

The people that develop this game arent doing it strictly for your entertainment or their love of gaming. They have families to feed, bills to pay, lives to live. It's how capitalism works. They develop, run, fix, or provide a service that we actively seek and or have an interest in, in exchange for an agreed upon amount of money.

Didn't they mention it could be done with in-game currency as well as silver? If you REALLY want the transmog then farm away for whatever currency is needed in-game. No need to spend a single cent.

Which i would think you would need to buy the update and the season pass.

Although what will not surprise me in the least is if Bungle intentionally makes the transmog grind in game so horrendously stupid to where it is just a waste of time to incentivise people to just outright buy it. Very common practice in gaming nowadays. Honestly if you want fashion while playing an actually good game go get Monster Hunter Iceborne. Capcom devs have put in low to high rank armor set transmogs for free and are working on master rank sets. Hell they even did weapon transmog which most of us didn't expect and put in all low rank to master rank transmogs. Wanna know how to get 'em? Name of the game: Hunt the mosters in endgame Guiding Lands for their parts and then craft 'em. No strings attached and the grind is reasonable.

Transmog for anything is gross. In SWG they just added it plain and simple. In SWTOR there was an account wide unlock for in game credits OR Cartel Coins. Bungie? Naaaaaah bruh. It's grind for 999999999 hours and pray to RNJesus or pay Silver. The guys are -blam!-ing clueless.

My idea for the transmog system was that you would have to get a certain amount of kills whilst wearing a piece of that armour set, and once you reached the kill goal, the whole armour set would become an ornament, and the more pieces of that armour set you wear, the faster you progress. For example, wearing one piece of armour would grant a 1x boost in progress, but wearing a full set would grant 5x progress, so if the kill goal was 5,000 kills, you would only need 1,000 kills. But now that Silver has been mentioned, I'm sort of concerned that Bungie may make the grind unbearable in order to make people cash out to skip the grind.

3 RepliesThis is from TWAB 5-7-20 “We will be adding a Transmogrification feature to Destiny 2. This will allow players to turn their Armor into Universal Ornaments. We plan to allow players to do this with in-game effort OR Silver. This feature is in early development and is expected sometime during Year 4.”. If you’re going to complain about stuff make sure you take the time to read what Bungie actual said.

Probably going to be a pain in the ass to grind whatever the transmog material is too, if they're throwing a optional Silver buying method. -blam!-ing fantastic work, Bungie. Take an idea that people have been asking for since Day 1 of D1...and -blam!- with it.
