I think reload perks are really good don't get me wrong, but in my opinion they didn't need a nerf. Especially with all the other buffs/changes you outlined in the TWAB. I just don't really think the reload nerfs are something that needed to happen.

2 RepliesDoesn’t effect me because I never take off my dragons shadow or even my ophidian aspects.

24 RepliesBecause there’s plenty of other good perks, the community just doesn’t use them. Why? They don’t directly effect damage or reload. People don’t actually want good non-damage perks. It’s been proven since D1 all people care about are things that directly effect damage and reload. Demolitionist, Osmosis, Shield Disorient, Elemental Capacitor, Substinance, Overflow.....most of these have been introduced very recently and are all good perks. Wanna guess the only new one that got any attention? Vorpal Weapon. Wanna guess why? The community can’t admit it but they don’t actually want new and interesting perks. They want Killing Frenzy/Rampage, Outlaw/Kill Clip, etc. And until those are made unavailable or unattractive it will never change and it’ll be the same boring perk meta we’ve had since literally D1.

Unless you're speed running things then it really is not that big of a deal...(even then we're talking a few extra seconds per activity) Yes I love outlaw and feeding frenzy, but it's just not that big of a deal. So many drama llamas these days lol

It's to fix the "power creep" from our OP perks and then un-nerf them later on because they really weren't that OP after all.
-
So they can sell it back to you later with another name or the "we're listening so we will buff it" when the player base shrinks even more.

2 RepliesBecause a lot of people don't like Drop Mag. In the TWAB they had a while section on how "god-tier" Drop Mag is, even though it really isn't

The only stat that matters is getting the enemy’s hp to 0

Why is it happening? Because Bungie once again do not look at the “why” people use what they do. So these nerfs that they do are half-baked. There is only so much a fn data graph showing used perks will show, and this is one of those things. When the game stops using DPS dumps, then people will naturally move away from damage and reload perks. Until they grasp this very concept, things will not change. No matter how many times you nerf things.

5 RepliesSay what you will, but reload perks right now are stupidly broken. No one thinks that..whatever..but it's true. For example. I have a 7th Seraph SMG with drop mag and feeding frenzy.. I cant even see the teload animation lol. That's a little over the top. I dont think a lot of people are running high reload speed... Just use appropriate mods. And FFS, calm the heck down! Thank you.

Im sure its to fix the pve meta, reload speed can be easy to deal with on pvp. Exotics that increase reload speed will be more viable now

You fail to see what terrifies Bungie at night. Power creep. If they make other mods stronger than the reload perks then we have creeped up in power. This means any new mods have to be as powerful or more to be used by the public. So instead boost some mods just a little bit, and need reload perks a little bit so they’re about even in their usefulness. It’s to “boost” without Power Creep.

Because they saw that we like them. Literally. Oh look, this is getting used a lot, and it must be totally because there is nothing better to use, not because they enjoy using it.

2 RepliesI agree. The cynical part of me says that there will be a: With further testing we're still not happy about where reload parks are and will release the following changes... *further nerf information* Once further watered down, we'll start to see new Perks popping up to cover the holes left. The holes that didn't exist before the Perks were watered down. Theory and supposition buuuuuuuuut I gotta feeling...

7 RepliesReload causes interesting gameplay. Every perk and ability makes it instant.

3 RepliesIt will be interesting to see what reload perks are left out of future weapon perks in later seasons.
