I'm honestly at the brink, I loath gambit and I need to know if this gun is worth this misery.
Thank you for the feedback everyone, looks like I'll persevere for now.
The hell continues, turns out people still don't know you have to put the motes in the bank and not invade with a sidearm and 15 motes.... Good lord.
Right guy's next bit, best weapons for invading??
Yeah this is horrible, what a poorly designed quest. I'm now basically camping the portal the entire game to get invader kills. Does gambit really need to be a thing? Good idea but so poorly executed.
Done! Never have to step foot in gambit again..... Until lumina ffs. Petition to remove gambit anyone?

Ahhhh, malfeasance. I remember struggling on that strike. Who’s big brain idea was it to put a taken phalanx boss on a floating island?! Anyway, the gun has the best stability in the game, and is a guaranteed 5 shot kill even at insane range, so yeah, you should try and get it.

1 ReplyMy opinion, I don’t find it that special and I can’t really notice any particular difference when used against Taken. In fact, I find myself reverting back to alternatives. Tried using it in Reckoning and was just underwhelmed 🤷♂️
unlike last week’s arc week in Reckoning and running Riskrunner Muhahahaha 👹
2 RepliesDefinetly one of the better looking weapons in the game, and despite its archetype it's a pretty fun gun to use. Imo, the strike was the worst step but One Man Army was a bit annoying too. Your best bet for a team wipe is a well timed roaming super (for hunters I reccommend GG, Warlocks bottom tree Dawnblade, and bottom tree Sentinel/top tree Sunbreaker). If you have Truth, or even Jotunn, they're also pretty effective since they practically guarantee a kill. Pretty much any OHK weapon will be effective if you fight at the appropriate range, though longer ranged weapons are encouraged.

1 ReplyEdited by Sweet Lew 88: 5/22/2020 8:39:31 PMIt's great for Gambit and other content. Amazing against Invaders. If you don't like to work for stuff, not worth it. If you think earning loot is torture, this might not be the right game for you.

Absolutely. It is an amazing weapon in PvE and PvP. It’s super unique, easy to use, and also fun in my opinion.

best weapons for invading are scout rifles

So imma give you the correct answer to this thread. Yes and no. Why to get the gun. It looks really cool It has a really cool skin if you manage to get it. Its effect is super unique Its a very fun gun to use in game. Its sounds good Why not to do it. The gun sucks for DPS. Its effect while cool is super weird at best, and worst is awkward to use. The gun is designed to be an anti large revolver, and it can do that, but the problem is there are other guns that do it far better, and dont take up your exotic. You will rarely get to ever use the special effect as 90% of reds will die before you get enough shots into them, and the yellows will most likely be dead by the last shot any way if you are shooting for head. The gun is a 180 frame is already not that good of a hand cannon frame, if it was maybe a 150 or 140, it might be better. It takes up an exoitc. Its a fun play around gun, but thats all it is and ever will be, even in gambit its not that great. Check out the review by aztecross he does a very good job at explaining while this gun is meh and not worth being an exotic.

No. It's miserable.

Edited by spankingCane: 5/24/2020 7:59:48 PMIf everyone in your fireteam uses it 😏 In the words of the Drifter it don't matter if he's faster if we all get a shot off
-
It has it's moments but overall for the grind I expected better utility, but Bungie say they are reworking HC's so maybe it become better and have less of a narrow focus.
-
Yes, it is.

it's like asking do you like pie? i do but you might not

Edited by BIRB: 5/23/2020 11:51:58 AMA tad underpowered imo but the gun is overall really fun to use and works very well in gambit and PvP. I think it’s worth it.

I think it’s worth having but it is a grind.

1 ReplyCoolest looking gun . And strong against taken . I bet when the ships come they will be taken . I have mine ready just in case
-
If you like 180 handcannons yes 100% worth it. It burns through taken and hits like a truck against invaders in gambit. In normal crucible it's easy to use out ranges other 180s because of the exotic perk and can easily shut down supers.
-
It actually does pretty crazy damage in Last Wish
-
Go for it ....its unique its great for both pve and pvp
-
If you're a Gambit fan i say go for it. If wanting it for other activities, ill pass
-
Its really only good in gambit. If you hate gambit id pass
-
It's not as good as it should have been.
-
Just be ready for your teammates to hate you.
-
It's just a curio exotic. It's cool, and I like using it back when Forsaken was new content, but it's not game changing unless you're on a Taken themed activity. It's just an above average 180, that seems to run out of ammo too often.

3 RepliesThis, is not misery. When it First launched trying to get Meatball to Spawn, that was Misery.

I personally love the gun in pvp and pve. always get a weapon because you never know, it might be the meta next season.
