Can any lore people answer my question about SIVA?
From all the constructs we have seen SIVA make...most have been pyramid ship shaped.
So i was thinking that SIVA knows about the pyramid ships and thinks that they are the perfect form that SIVA is trying to reproduce .
Does anyone know anything about this?

1 ReplyThe triangle is the most simple shape possible. The Darkness strifes for simplicity in the universe, so that’s why they are represented that way. And since SIVA is a method to construct almost everything, wouldn’t it make sense that it would do so in the most efficient and simplistic way possible? Hence the mostly triangular design. This isn’t a confirmed explanation, but that’s my way of explaining it, since there is no definitive answer. What I can say though is that there is probably no connection to the Pyramid ships. Rasputin did find out about the Pyramid ships, but SIVA was already a thing at that point in time. And since SIVA only does the things it’s programmed to, it has no capability to learn. Technically Rasputin could tell it to look like the Pyramid ships, but why? There’s no reason to do that? Moreover, we’ve only physically seen a very limited use of SIVA. As far as we know, the SIVA used during the Golden Age might have looked extremely different. Maybe it didn’t, but we just don’t know enough.

Like a man-made plague gone rampant, Resputin does not control SIVA or at least did but no longer does. We learned in Destiny 1 SIVA didn’t just kill Felwinter, but rather almost all the Ironlords at the time. This causes Resputin to grieve as he only wanted to use Felwinter to communicate with guardians and seeing his son turn away from him into a guardian made him jealous. Which we find out he later regrets releasing SIVA. As for SIVA looking all jagged and Pyramid like, well, if you haven’t noticed, Resputins bunkers and his technologies are almost all geometrical or “shapey”. So we can assume SIVA just looks like abstract pyramids due Resputin’s own design.

2 Repliessorry this post isn't letting me upvote it but to answer your question unless one of the exoudues ships had a submind on them it's unlikly that Rasputin would know anything about the pyramid ships as he just learned of them this season with the seraph bunkers. hope that answers your question

3 RepliesSIVA has not encountered the Pyramid Ships. Rasputin programmed the SIVA in Old Russia to kill the Iron Lords and then seemingly lost his connection to it with the damage Jolder dealt in her explosion. SIVA cannot think. The SIVA structures you refer to are square Pyramids, not Tetrahedrons. Rasputin and the Vex cannot comprehend the parcausal nature of the ships so I highly doubt SIVA would be able to even if it was capable of thought and knew of them. This post is stupid.

No connection between Armada and SIVA. The SIVA in the Cosmodrome only has the directive of -Consume Enhance Replicate-.....and is currently under quarantine/lockdown via Zavala and Ikora. Though I wouldn't trust their monitoring capabilities. It's currently only capable of following directives and incapable of it's own thought process. It's unknown what became of the shipment that the Exodus Black was carrying. It is also unknown if there are more Active or Inactive-Replication Chambers on Earth or Off-World.

I think we need more lore on the topic, everything is just speculation until proven true. There might be a chance that the fallen have stumbled on the pyramid ship on the moon, went to house of devils in hopes of achieving god hood because there are Siva on the moon from the reprised Shadow Thief strike, Taniks being brought back to life. Fallen could have been fascinated by the technology and with Siva with them they could want to bring up their tech to the pyramids tech. I’m just rambling, could be something but most likely it’s nothing

To be fair, the replication chamber, and Rasputins housing structure (both built before the collapse) have that same shape, so I doubt it.

No,it’s legit just a coincidence,plus doesn’t attain perfection it only follows directives,it is limited to what the programmer wishes it to do. There is not connection between SIVA and the darkness lore wise.

Does anyone know anything about this?[/quote] No. There’s a big difference between the SIVA shapes and that of the Pyramids fast approaching our beloved Sol system. The shapes themselves. Specifically the amount of sides. SIVA has four sides to its shape, plus the base. The pyramid ships have three sides, plus the base. The fact both are pyramids is purely coincidental.
