Please consider cleaning up HUD clutter in PVP

Just a small request that would significantly make the quality of PVP more enjoyable. I know you guys got plenty of other fish to fry right now. The HUD clutter in this game has gotten to the point where I'm never engaging with other character models, I'm just shooting through a cloud of clutter and aiming under a red healthbar. Special drops, crest drops, death skulls, fallen ghosts, obnoxious steam names that cover half the screen, screenshake and muzzle flash both from my perspective, and flinch from enemy fire, etc etc... I know we can turn off HUD in our settings, but that puts us at a severe disadvantage. I'd rather the game just look cleaner. For example. You're in iron banner, you see a plume of fire an smoke over the cap site. You see a redbar somewhere on the other side of it. He shoots at you with an energy autorifle. Your screen shakes, seeing nothing but blue and red and smoke and a red bar where the bad guy is. Half of your screen is outlined by lightning bolts and red glow around the edges. So you put your red dot in the middle of that red bar and start shooting. Your shield breaks, turning your screen white and red and flashes. You win the fight. You never even saw the other player. He probably never saw you either. The crest collecting game mode (sorry i forget what its called) is even worse. The skulls and crests and ammo bricks just litter the battlefield. This seems to be at least half the engagements in PVP right now. Any way you could consider cleaning some of that mess up so we can actually see what we're shooting at? I dunno, it just seems to take away a lot from the enjoyment of the gameplay, and a lot of other FPS games have these same game modes and have ammo drops but don't have these problems. Give this a bump if you guys are seeing what I'm seeing.

  • The maps make that even worse, with unclear lighting, random decorations, and stupid doors getting in your way. I would vote destiny as having the worst designed maps ever to exist.

    • I have this issue when using a roaming super. Theres so much going on that I have a hard time seeing through it. Especially when I clash with another super.

      • I guess the big wake up call for me is I started playing Halo 2. I've been playing basically little other than Destiny 2 since 2018, it's definitely my main game. But I hop into Halo 2 for the first time since... I was in high school lol? Like 15 years... now that it's a PC game on steam... And holy crap the game is so much smoother and cleaner, and it's a 16 year old game. Like how is that possible?
