The dude has a ton of baggage, pay him no mind. He started as a critic of Bungie and had a relatively small viewer base. Things got messy for him when live on the air about a year and 1/2 ago he became a Kevin Spacey apologist. He was immediately shunned by his fellow Destiny streamers and began to self-distruct. Ultimately, due to his on the air comments (which he took down and erased all circulated copies of) he was not invited by Bungie to the infamous 'streamer summit,' blaming the Rare Drop crew for spreading the Spacey fiasco. He hit rock bottom, became an angry bitter little shit and his numbers declined. In a PR panic move, he claimed he was mentally ill and was in treatment for it. He then converted his stream to a pro-Bungie format after his numbers began to climb, realizing that the only game he could make money at was Destiny 2.

All the streamers say the same thing. It’s not about the health of the game. It’s about them being bored and needing Bungie to force a meta change because they don’t like it. SNTR is pve. He wants new loot to chase. Because he won’t “side grade” to a different weapon. He needs bungie to take weapon A away and force him to earn weapon B. It’s still a “side grade”, but he had to do it because Bungie made him do it. So he’s happy. Because he got to grind for a couple hours for his new, old, side graded gun. Which makes no sense in the grand scheme of things. Boss melting is done with exotics. Not legendaries. So that’s not going to change. Other than recluse, add clear will remain relatively untouched. His argument is stupid and doesn’t even hold water. Then look at BW. In the beginning of his video he talks down to someone having 30,000 kills with a gun saying it’s nuts and he would hate to use a gun that much. Says that’s boring and people shouldn’t do that. Then ends his video by saying sun setting is good because it shifts the meta and it only affects the end game. So if you want to you can still get 30,000 kills with a weapon. No big deal. So what he’s saying is, you go ahead and use what you want to use, just not in my lobbies. This isn’t about power creep. It’s not about game health. It’s not about wanting weapon choice. Everyone already has weapon choice. It’s about people not wanting to see a specific weapon in a kill feed. It’s about people hating being killed by Revoker. People hating mind benders or spare rations. It’s not about opening up choices for themselves. It’s about taking away your choices because they don’t like you using them. I’ve come up with a dozen different ways bungie could keep everything and not have to sunset that are way better. If I can do that, bungie could do that. But they don’t want to. Because not only does this give streamers what they want, it also gives bungie an EASY out to content creation. They take away weapons, then resell them to you a few seasons later. That will save them hundreds of hours of development time. And they get to double triple or quadruple dip into your wallets for the same content. Anyone who doesn’t see this is completely blind. But that’s ok. I’ll enjoy watching everyone eat their words over the next year.

He does defend bungie for the most part as realistically if the game dies so does his channel, he don't cover anything else and he calls himself the exact thing he is, rages at other members for disagreement with him. I used to watch him but now he just sounds like an entitled brat so don't bother anymore. If destiny had an issue with power creep then his points may have some weight but it doesn't. You need power fantasy to have power creep which just don't exist and won't exist anytime soon. Bungies track record proves that all this does is remove loot to sell it back to you at a later date, why balance when you can just get rid.

Long time follower of his stream. He isn’t defending Bungie, he’s standing up for good loot game design. He has been saying that this game has needed to take power away from us for almost 2 years. I’ve been saying the same thing here for almost five years. We’ve been saying it because EVERY good loot game does this, because it eventually breaks the game if they don’t. What he meant by an “incorrect criticism” is that someone is attacking sunsetting without actually understanding how it’s actually going to work. The proper term is a “strawman argument”, but that really doesn’t matter. Crying about things that don’t actually happen, because the person didn’t bother to read the TWAB or think about what they read accomplishes nothing of value beyond letting that person jam the airwaves with baby rage. Unless you play end game activities, these changes will not affect you. If you do, these changes are the only way we’ll ever get end game loot like the raid weapons of D1 without breaking the game. And not being able to drag three years of shit into the end game is a small price to pay to get access to much better loot, and a healthier game.

Lono’s biggest issue is that he’s very narrow minded when it comes to a topic such as this, and becomes very dismissive of others arguments to the point he’ll ignore them, even somewhat with aggressive tones. People play the game in different ways. I myself am more of a build-crafter like Cammy or Drewsky, and thus have some similar opinions re sunsetting to them. I don’t like it. Lono has his opinions as a player who struggles to put top end gear down, just look at the fiasco with him and Ikelos Shotty for instance, only to move to a threat level with almost identical everything, and thanking Bungie for making him put down Ikelos. Fact is, people engage with this game differently, where some players will be fine with sunsetting, others will not be, and each for their own reasons. The problem is Bungie caters to one direction over anything else, and those in support act like it’s the “second coming”, and tell anyone opposed to it to quit. Things don’t improve if you just quit. Things don’t improve if you are complacent either.

Does Joker from the Darkside Royalty Lore YouTube channel get invited to Bungie's special events? No. Some influencers will always try to spin a bad decision by a developer to stay on their good side.

Bungie has run out ideas for the game so removing items content and release them back into the game and new gamers will think it is new content since they never seen it before. Bungie is following the Hollywood way, remake all the great series and movies from the past.

SNTR is utter garbage of the most putrid variety. I'm all for everyone having an opinion. I'm all for everyone voicing their opinion without being attacked for having one. The difference is when a streamer who probably plays destiny 15 hours a day has the arrogant self centered assumption that his opinion and desires for game direction reflect the feelings of the community. Dude just complains that there is nothing to do, no new rewards or reason to play PVP, etc. Do you have all the titles? And even if you do, can't you remove your head long enough to understand most players don't? Most people are downing in content - so much so FOMO is now a problem. I don't want it to be a full time job. I want to have fun here, and still have time for other games too without FOMO. His perspective is so far removed from the community he claims to represent. 0.001% of the player population plays as much as him, but that doesn't mean he is the source of knowledge. He must be made to understand it is directly because of his play time that he is an ill choice to presume his perspective had any value to the masses who keep this game afloat. Oh and btw, I have 5 titles and disagree with everything he squeaks. Take a break - get a haircut.
