I want to be able to pull Hammerhead out in 2 years because it looks wicked is a damn good gun and I want it to be viable in all PVE if I choose to spend the materials to upgrade it.
It's been 6 years since D1 and you still haven't figured out the basic mechanics of this game. It's not an evolving world because evolving indicates something getting better. It's a changing world and Trials proves that.
It's changed in the sense that you had it near perfect in D1 but in D2 you changed to become more greedy as shown in the following ways.
1. No bounties for weapons or armor even if you don't get the wins.
2. Can't turn in tokens without three wins.
3. No ornaments, instead a greedy glow to force people to keep going flawless every two weeks. (Are you that desperate to keep people playing your game?)

Edited by MONKEYGOTRABIES: 5/20/2020 11:48:42 AMSix years and they haven't figured out the mechanics? Sure they have: re-paint, re-skin, reshuffle, and repackage, or outright make you replay to re-acquire what they've taken away that's now untakenaway. It goes all the way back to D1Y3 RoI...that and the mechanic of paying more money in the cash shop for things other, better games just include as base content for the base price. I mean, people did ask to be able to play in third person and they gave us exciting third person action with Tess. You guys are the ones that take 3-5 years to figure this out, who ask for years, "why does my back hurt?" only to find out it's because you've been collecting knives there for half a decade. The base mechanic is, "Re."

2 RepliesSunsetting means that you dont need to grind anymore. Just use whatever drops. Play the new activities, strike, raid and dungeon after that you just wait for next DLC next fall. So just play the new DLC on release. Play the new content; will take like 2 months than uninstall destiny; play 10 months something else; reinstall destiny next fall xD Its not worth to grind weapons or gear.

Season 12 there giving Trials a 3 Win Reward Bounty for not doing 3 Wins. which unlocks the Token Engram. Jumped the gun a bit early didn't you.
-
20 RepliesDestiny 2 isn’t about skill anymore, it’s about using the most overpowered weapons now
-
10 RepliesHealthy loot games are about the chase. Which is why veteran loot gamers don’t fall in love with their gear.
-
The only thing I keep is my boots on my hunter cause I hate the ninja toe boots and heel boots hunters have. Everything else I vault if something else comes along I’m not attached to my loot. This is a game for me, probably why I don’t get butt hurt about everything I just play if I’m bored I get off and go something else.
-
I don't give a damn about collecting, and a lot of other people don't either. I do know a lot of people give a damn about using things though. Case in point, I don't care about being able to go to my vault and look at my stuff: if I lost everything but what I am carrying now and my exotics, I'd be fine. I'm chasing gear to use, not have a trophy case. So whereas I see what you're saying, I think you're speaking for yourself. Certainly not for me.
-
16 RepliesTechnically you chase loot to collect it.
-
It's a loot shooter and not a hoarding shooter. It was a thing in the past years too and we all survived it.
-
7 RepliesIdk how you can say that when 3/4 of the arguments are "what about my God rolled *insert gun here* that I ran 10,000 runs for?" People just don't want their stuff taken away, which is understandable but its necessary for the overall health of the game.
-
6 RepliesYou... Chase loot... And get it.. were doing both. The gear doesn't fall on our laps...
-
5 RepliesThe game is LOOTER SHOOTER NOT COLLECTOR SHOOTER ffs move on.

Problem is most loot games have sunsetting. People bring up warframe a lot but that’s not a loot game as in they don’t have 10 of the same/similar weapon that do the exact same thing. From borderlands to diablo there has always been sunsetting.
-
39 Replies"You had it near perfect in D1" D1 had sunsetting
-
The majority of weapons and armor were not made for actual use in the game... they were made to fill collection tabs and thats it. What a waste of time and effort to get items that you never use.
-
Bungie should not get rid of ritual weapons. These weapons were the reason for the desire to return to the game from time to time. Now I don’t have enough motivation to often return to the game. All that I get in the game is the same weapon that I either disassemble or use to increase the level of light. And at the end of the season I get nothing, even ritual weapons, which I could use later. The whole game turned into Sisyphus stone. As for the collection, this is not a collection, but a big fat fake. If an item cannot be obtained from the collection, then this collection does not exist. I have repeatedly written to developers about creating a basic roll for all items received. P.S.: In addition, I have long been sick of these disposable shaders.
-
For me I chase the next lot of loot each time if it interests me but by no means do I see the point of filling your vault up I have nearly 2 pages full and asked myself why do I even have hold of this many items I haven’t touched them in months
-
dont worry Azlan, in a few months time 80% of ur collection will become obsolete antiques

This!

It's not an evolving world because evolving indicates something getting better.
Common misconception, Evolving is merely a species changing overtime to better suit their environment, often times promoting longevity in the species. Sunsetti g weapons.... Is by definition an evolution of destiny. Stating your frustrations, while even if justified, isn't indicative of a lack of evolution of the franchise.

3 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 5/18/2020 1:19:42 PMThis is where Bungie yet again has to make a decision about what they want the game to be. Is it a loot collector where all weapons are valuable and carried forward, but added to the game carefully and strategically so each has its own quest and all are balanced against each other? Or is it a loot chaser, where we are constantly leaving behind old loot in exchange for more and slightly better gear that has minor stat benefits and cosmetic changes. Either one, I’ll wait for the thing we’ve been waiting for since Destiny began: for Bungie to make up its damn mind about something.

Don't forget, if you moved this game over to steam, steam has actual reviews. Unlike Battle.net. If you're dissatisfied with this, and since it is currently outlined and planned, it's probably a measure they will pay more attention to than the forums I'd guess.
-
Yup....no content and no motivation.
-
2 RepliesPretty sure the game is about first-person action.
-
“Play the way you want” “We want Destiny to become a collector’s game” The list goes on. Words are only good for those who want to listen to them. I’ll be looking at what the content is before buying it. That simple for those like me who aren’t hooked anymore to Destiny.

for me, destiny is a looter shooter, i really dont like the collector side of destiny, my favorite part is to do challenging activities with friends
