I really think that the use of this "sunsetting" is historically and culturally inappropriate. My culture rejects such acts such as reducing the value of the work we put forth as result of our efforts in the community historically because of coerced contractually indentured servitude.
Sunsetting weapons in this regard is incredibly offensive and demeaning to me and my family heritage as a whole and should not be a part of the Destiny pilgrimage.
Yes, there are games where they have limits on what we can do and work toward, but we all can replay it and have a different experience while having an understanding on how things are supposed to work. That is a learned experience. A memory, and we create new memories off of the old ones.
Destiny is not an appropriate game for such things, because with "sunsetting" in place, you can't go back and make new memories off of the old ones. You are being forced to make brand new memories off of the idea of what you thought you knew, and that is just confusing and honestly just terrifying.
All that hard work you did to make something of yourself, just ends up being the chores of someone else, while you stand there with an empty bag and nothing to show for your efforts.
This is Destiny. The game where we fight for what we believe in. For the good of humanity against those who would try and oppress us, and our way of life.
"Sunsetting" our work is just the first step of the Light inside of us getting dimmer by the day.
I hope you understand how this concept is inappropriate for the family we built within this community of Lightbearers.
