UNPLAYABLE

Every time I log into Destiny 2 on my PS4, I get error code weaseled constantly. I am running off of a wired connection about 6 feet from my modem. It's made it so I dont even want to play your game. If I could at least know what the issue is, either on my end or your end, that would be great, but the ambiguity of the error codes are so hard to follow. I've restarted my router, reinstalled the game, changed the CAT5 Cable, and it even happens on both of my PS4s. I have NAT type 2, download speed of 7Mbps and an upload speed of 2.1 Mbps. I dont think this is on my end. PLEASE FIX THE SERVERS.

  • If you have a 7Mb/s download speed and a 2 in upload. That's definitely on your side. For connection based gaming, your gonna need at least 50Mb/s both down and up, and that's for a sustainable and ok connection.

Who is your ISP? What is your geographical location? Have you tried setting up port forwarding as mentioned in the Networking and Troubleshooting guides? What steps have you taken to try and resolve the issue? Have you contacted your ISP? What is your modem/router model? Are you the only system using your network? If you're not the only system using your network, are other people streaming or downloading often? Destiny 2 may require up to 1 Megabit per second of bandwidth at any point in time (though it usually averages less than that) so if you have other people using your network or you're on a shared connection, then it may impact your ability to connect properly. Weasel is specifically concerning an issue in which your client cannot connect to the Destiny 2 data servers. This is caused by a connection hiccup between yourself and the servers; something is causing either a complete or partial data loss between yourself and the servers that causes the servers to not see you and/or your client to not be able to contact the servers properly, and then you get Weasel. This specific issue is nothing wrong with the servers. Either the problem is on your end, your ISP's end, or on one of the many internet hops between yourself and the Bungie servers. If the issue was on Bungie's end, the majority of people would be having the same exact issue; that's not currently the case.
