The number of players who use double primaries in both PVE and PVP is astounding

I encounter these scenarios all the time: Scenario 1: *plays a game of pvp* *checks post game stats* *sees .07 kda player* *inspects .07 kda player, notices double primaries* Scenario 2: *plays a seraph tower event* *fails seraph tower event* *inspects others in the group* *notices 3 players using double primaries* Don't get me wrong, some double primaries have good synergy, such as Sturm/Drang, or perhaps a sniper/sidearm, etc. However I'm seeing far too many double auto rifles. Do people realize they are severely handicapping their ability to do a lot of damage quickly? In timed events such as Seraph Tower it's imperative to be able to clear out a bunch of adds fast. Primaries do have their place, obviously, but you need a special for scenarios where it calls for special.

  • This is something I’ve found in a lot of players who don’t like PvP. They hate shotgun players and snipers yet never seem to equip a rounded load out. A bow and sidearm/hand cannon can be a fairly competitive set up but I do feel players who complain about PvP are often handicapping themselves with their weapon choices. This is by no means me saying players should use specific load outs etc as choosing your own playstyle is what makes the game so good but if you are struggling, maybe changing your load out and leaning into the meta slightly will help.

I use double primaries in PvP every now and then. Mostly because I hate using shotguns. I'd typically run a sidearm and auto, auto and handcannon, pulse and handcannon. Just depends of the map. I find if I use a fusion rifle then literally everyone on the enemy team gets triggered. They put away whatever they were using and go super mega sweaty ass Tryhard (cough Mindbender cough). I guess getting killed by any fusion gives them Erentil ptsd or something. If I play PvP I just want to have fun, not feel like I need 3 shots of mt dew and Adderall. I sniper here and there too (depends on the map) and I'm really digging the Gambit Prime sniper. Now I'm no "God killer" when it comes to sniping but sometimes I get lucky and I have people calling me a cheater, on ps4 of all places. Hey, it's not my fault Beloved and Revoker are like the easiest snipers to use in the game 🙃. But I don't think I've played PvP in close to 2 weeks, so don't worry about me dragging down your teams anytime soon 😌👌 I run doubles in pve as well but that's mostly because of gunsmith bounties. However I'll always bring the heavy power for pubs, strikes etc...
