So is the mountaintop that I just I got today gonna be sunset?
If so I’m gonna get pissed cuz This is bs all that grinding would just have been for nothing. This is absolute bs dumb move. I’ve dedicated lots of time to some of these weapons and this just means that’s all for nothing.

Destiny is by far the one game that seems to have the strictest rules when it comes to meta. Also when it comes to meta in destiny, it's always bullshit. You should have more options and styles of play in comp, not just the same shit every single time with every single group and it just goes on and on. You drive people away from comp play when you force them to only use a handful of certain guns with only the best of rolls. Honestly it's as bad as corruption gear and the "balance" of arena pvp in world of warcraft. For the people who are actually complaining about this are like older people who cant get with the flow of change. Why would you want to use the same shit for that long either, and yet you guys beg for new content all the time then cry when they take away some of your favorite toys.

It's a fair point. I had a plan to start grinding pinnacles that I missed out on previously but I'm not going to bother now. Say goodbye to all those play hours Bungie.

2 RepliesYes it will. But don't worry. You will still be able to use them in any activity that power level does not matter, such as some modes of crucible and patrols and so on. And the Mountain Top you just earned will be renewed and re-issued in future seasons with its own power level cap relevant to that season, including the quest step and triumphs you will have to complete, all packed into an awesome paid expansion that Bungie dev team worked so hard for you to enjoy. Happy spending and grinding! Remember they are always listening!

3 Replieseventually, yes. Tired of trying to play Momentum and constantly matching stacked teams just spamming gls, so dosen't bother me. Got my Mt back in season 5 when it was way harder, had my fun with it, and now I wouldn't be mad if we got something better or more original

In d1, got the fatebinger, hawkmoon and thorn in late July early August. Come Sept with Taken King, all were sunset, thus I know how you feel. I was a handcannon main then, though not since because of it except thorn.

I agree very much. I think all the quest-related weapons should be excluded.

Yeah every legendary weapon apart from the last wish and garden of salvation legendaries that are not getting sunset.
