I think OP could've done a better job of explaining this. Most non-Koreans don't know that Japan occupied Korea, let alone that Koreans were forced into their military and ordered to kill themselves that way. OP should offer more historical context. The negative responses make sense given the lack of details in the original post.
From an American point of view, we're like "we were victims of kamikazes and we're not offended. What's the big deal?" Most people don't know Japanese - Korean dynamics in history.
Even I was puzzled at first, but after reading the responses from Korean players detailing the history, I see why it's offensive.

Edited by Sinisis: 5/16/2020 1:45:17 AMThat part is relative. Some cultures value honor and take these things more seriously than many countries in the west. If it's offensive to them because of how kamikaze played out in their country that's understandable. If someone made fun or light if 911, then nobody in America would be laughing.

Just take a look at the Yugoslav Wars. quite a lot of ethnic cleansings happened. To this day you can see bullet holes here and there and Bosnia for instance still has a bucketload of landmines everwhere. And yet the people in the Ex-Yu countries accepted that these atrocities were commited by overzealous nationalists. I also doubt that people from China are offended in the same manner, given that Japan was going on a rampage there. The friends from there I just so happen to know couldnt care less about it either. Was it bad? Absolutely. However, Kamikaze describes a military tactic, not "lets send ____ to die for being ______". Also, quite a lot of my american friends made fun of 911. There are people who'd laugh about it, believe it or not. Beats leaving in fear that some radical fanatic might kill you, doesnt it?

If someone related a terrorist attack to 911 in the same way, I can’t imagine anyone getting offended.

I don't fully understand the offense to be honest but apparently the fact that Ana is Korean and referring to kamikaze, that's something koreans wouldn't do because of their occupation by Japan. It's offensive for a Korean. I don't see the problem in taking their word for it.

Nearly every piece of evidence pointing toward the pre golden age world is gone, the only cultures really seen are what the black armory forges were and other littered bits involving the fallen’s identity crisis. I highly doubt she really went and dug up anything related to WW2. A great big of information is lost from the collapse and made it even harder for her.

Her culture is indicated by her pet that has a Korean name.

It fits perfectly in the context it was used.
