Your weapons are not disappearing... They won't become useless, they just won't be viable in certain end game activities... Which is reasonable, there's literally hundreds upon hundreds of different weapons and armour sets... It's getting a bit crazy lol, they could even get rid of some weapons and sets (the least used, obviously) and I wouldn't care and I've played since 2014. They're going back to their model for how destiny 1 used to have their weapons and armour set up, but not as restrictive at all. We will still have our erentils and spare rations and all of our goodies to use in pvp and other activities, just not exactly certain endgame stuff. At least that's what I'm getting from their twab... Seeing the amount of complaints was a bit confusing lol, but I do understand people being upset by this... I'd like to be able to use all my stuff for everything no matter what too, I'm just trying to look at it objectively.

9 RepliesIf they can't be useful in late-game content where LL matters, then it defeats the purpose. There are good, fun, constructive ways to make players use a wider variety of gear. Sunsetting just comes off as lazy. How about new raid gear that has raid-specific perks? How about PvP gear that has Crucible bonuses baked in? How about armor that has more utility in whatever seasonal horde mode is released without having to juggle mods? The worst thing is having to grind for the exact same gear you've already found before. Again. All because of an arbitrary sunsetting system. It's bad design, and bad design should ALWAYS warrant complaints.
