When I discovered Destiny back in November 2018, I instantly fell in love with the worlds, the gameplay, the guns, the loot to grind for, the soundtrack, the atmosphere and the variety of activities to do. I never experienced the rough start D2 had, I don´t own a console so I never experienced D1, I joined when Destiny 2 was in a excellent place thanks to Forsaken. Until today, I have spent more than 3500 hours in my favourite and only game, and made more than 100 friends. I always saw the positive in Bungie´s decisions and even defended their actions in the forum, because I personally always had fun and most of their bad decisions didn´t matter to me. As long as I could play with my hard earned loot, and had something to be proud of, I didnt care about content droughts, eververse, bugs etc. When Destiny became Free2play, I felt indifferent about this. Sure, the content wasn´t comparable to a proper DLC, but there have been various activites to chase loot, both weapons and armour. I love ordeal nightfalls. I love raids. I even like ironbanner with my clan. Do you know why? Because of the L O O T. Now reading today´s TWAB, it felt like Thanos snapped all my thousands of hours of grind to dust. My vault contains 490 pieces of gear, of which at least 30 I use regularly. Especially ritual weapons like Mountaintop, Recluse, Wendigo, Delirium, but also countless god roll shotguns, hand cannons, grenade launchers, autorifles etc. will be USELESS in every endgame activity. Not only that, also all ARMOUR I spent hundreds of hours on to create the perfect builds, will be USELESS in some months. I spent ascendant shards, the rarest currency, on them which alone took countless hours to grind. Literally my biggest motivation to play this game, the loot, will vanish in front of my eyes. I dont care about normal strikes, crucible or gambit, I have the right to use them in EVERY activity I like! I grinded them to have a good arsenal of weapons in endgame activities, to AVOID having to play with these new trash weapons you introduced (apart from the shotgun). I have 17.000 legendary shards from dismantling armour and weapons to get the desired rolls, and now you tell me I have to start again in a few months?! Do you have any clue what kind of motivation killer that is?? I NEVER hated Destiny so much I felt I had to write a negative post, but CONGRATS Bungie, you managed to piss off one of your biggest fanboys to the point I uninstalled my favourite game! And apparently, I´m not the only one who doesn´t like having to play Trials with the cool seasonal bow and sidearm soon. pLaY ThE wAy YoU WanT
