Because the fallen overloads are just very very teleporty, a heavy attack and a swipe from an overload sword can disrupt them, with the ability to follow up with attacks to kill. Everybody loves overload swords and I feel like usage rate of swords will sink drastically if the overload mod is gone. Just something to consider.
