Tldr: skullfort shouldn't be nerfed in pve because it will ruin top tree striker
We all know it's inevitable that after the AW nerf skullfort is next on chopping block. I don't care about it in PvP all I ask is that it's left the way it is in pve as it makes the top tree of striker actually usable by that I mean is that the top tree has an horrendously short super the imo bungie's reasoning behind that was that it the top tree is more melee and grenade focused. This idea doesn't really work without skullfort as after every grenade or shoulder charge u have to w8 for at least 25 seconds for either of yr abilities and have to rely on solely on yr weapons because of which top tree doesn't really feel like fun to play. The way skull fort gets rid of this problem is by letting you kill trash mobs with shoulder charge and u can take out the major with yr 2 grenades and special with yr super only used to get you out of overwhelming situation. Before any one says that this is op in pve too my counter points to that r that
1. You actually need to go into melee range of the adds thus risking yr survivability
2. You are essentially sacrificing yr super for yr other two abilities to perform well
3. You are sacrificing a exotic slot for ability tree to be actually competent.
Edit: Just to clarify I am not saying skullfort is op or not in PvP i frankly don't care but I have seen mentions of it's ability to give infinite shoulder charge and how people find that op now if that's op or not is a separate debate I solely made this post that in the event that it gets nerfed (frankly I wouldn't be surprised seeing the history of nerfs) it be left as is in pve

Nobody has ever asked for it. Just stop.

1 ReplyThe game is already crap. Any single nerf will make no one will play it. Look at Gambit..people hate to play it because players feel weak. Easy to get melted by NPC. We play this game to feel the power fantasy. Hate if I hit something and its not dead or blowup.

2 RepliesLol, what? Nobody has ever mentioned or even hinted at a nerf for that helmet. Not only that, Shoulder Charge was nerfed this season. If anything, and it would be silly to do so, the next in line would be Dune Marchers.

1 ReplyYou are talking about a “problem” thats not even a problem... Literally nobody has made a post about Skullfort and it has literally never been touched in D2. Not seeing the point of this post. If anything you are increasing the chances of it getting nerfed by talking about it like its this super OP helmet.

2 RepliesI’m not sure that there has ever really been a significant request for the Skullfort to be nerfed.
