If you can get 3 kills with 1 clip, you are not likely playing an activity where a god-roll is needed which negates utility of a “god roll” if it only outperforms in mid tier content... in something like the grandmaster Nightfall, you mostly ever only going to proc multi-kill clip x1... which I would say gets out done by something like Vorpal weapon where you always do bonus damage to bosses and champions and mini bosses... or even rampage or kill clip would be better options than multi-kill clip...
Am I wrong?
What is your best pick for something like the seventh Seraph Officer Revolver’s final perk slot...
(Don’t get me wrong, multi-kill clip is great for grinding mid tier stuff, but I wouldn’t put it in the “god roll” as often as it gets put there...)

I'm not a fan either. I like rampage or killclip better.

2 RepliesI been leaning on feeding frenzy + 4th times the charm for my Seraph HC. I only enjoy multi-KC when it's paired with a reload perk.. The very first SteelFeather Repeater that dropped for me had ricochet, feed frenz & multi-KC & it was/is a pve monster. Outside of that, I find multi inconsistent & awkward to proc.

You are right. Multi kill clip is not doing much for Grand master nightfalls. But neither is any perk at that point. Kill clip is probably better and I think demolitionist basically the top tier because of current grenade builds ghat are in the meta. Vorpal weapon is weak on primaries imo because if your shooting a miniboss or boss you are just tickling vorpal or not and you are probably better off spending your time looking for ammo or waiting for abilities to recharge.

1 ReplyWhat’s viable in GMNF’s doesn’t really take away from general PvE viability. GMNF’s are special scenarios where perks like Timed Payload and Explosive Rounds become “god-tier.” Basically—a lot of what’s good in GMNFs are pretty much only good in GMNFs, which are an incredibly small niche for a weapon to exist in. Does this mean you shouldn’t consider this niche for guns you plan on using in GMNFs? No, but god-rolls should be the best roll for the most situations and MKC fits that role perfectly. Having a handful of guns designed specifically for GMNF efficacy is good, but they definitely won’t be god-rolls for virtually anything else.

You’re not wrong but your “god” roll opinions are entirely dependent on where you spend your time. PvP God Rolls are 100% different than PvE God Rolls. Grandmaster NF God Rolls are 100% different than General play God Rolls.

I just don't like 180s for PvE, in general. I do have a masterworked Threat Detector + Multi-Kill Clip. Will try for a timed payload version, but have yet to find a good one.
-
I use Timed Payload, but I’m not a fan of the archetype for PvE.

Vorpal is better is higher end stuff. For the service revolver, time payload is likely the best perk this season for high end stuff as it proc’d unstoppable and disruption much more consistently.

It allows you to deal some solid damage to majors, even in raids. Even enemies like Harpies in endgame content have deceivingly high amounts of HP. MKC lets you chew through them much faster when fighting off big clusters of mobs. MKC can most certainly be part of a PvE god roll. For PvP, I'd prefer the more consistent Rampage or just accuracy/range-boosting perks instead.

Edited by michael: 5/10/2020 9:08:37 PMYou make a good point but I think it just depends on what you’re doing. In the strikes playlist or in patrols or raids where you are overlevelled and killing lots of enemies quickly so obviously multikill clip will be very strong. But in the 1030/GM nightfalls killing enemies takes longer and the perk might not be as strong anymore. Like when it takes half of a spare rations clip plus a shield break to kill an acolyte is multikill clip as good? Probably not. You’re definitely better off using something like an energy hand cannon with the matching element of their shield, even if it doesn’t have kill clip, multikill clip, or rampage.

1 ReplyI dislike Multi-kill clip and the constant reloading in PVE. I find the best roll on Seraph Hand Cannon is Fourth Times The Charm/Timed Payload. It will two-tap (rather than four-tap) most mobs...and the FTTC will offset the small magazine when going up against more powerful enemies.
