I am trying to get back in to Destiny 2 but the game is unplayable due to constant crashes. I start the game, load in to orbit, and when I click on the tower, the game either crashes when my ship is flying over the planet or I make it to the Tower and it lasts about 20 seconds before the game crashes. It happens every time I try to launch the game without fail. My PC is more than capable of handling the game and has had zero issues with any of the other 30+ games I have played on my computer. Please help me so I can actually play the game I paid money for.
Have tried multiple suggested fixes in the forum and nothing worked:
Re-verifying all game files in Steam
Uninstalled and reinstalled
Updating all drivers
Updated Windows with all latest updates
Verifying Destiny 2 folder is not read only
Deleted CVARS file
Turned off full screen optimization
Cleared download cache

1 ReplyHello. Thanks for your report. You may want to verify the integrity of your game files in the Steam app to see if that helps with your issue. If that doesn't help, here are more suggestions that may help you:
1. Go to your Games library, right-click Destiny 2 and go to Properties. Click Local Files then Browse Local Files to open your Destiny 2 directory. Remove all files in this folder EXCEPT "Packages "then verify the integrity of Destiny 2 game files again. 2. Make sure that your HDD/SDD isn't full. 3. Update your drivers or do a fresh install 4. Some players have reported that changing the game language may resolve the issue. 5. Make sure everything in the D2 Steam folder isn’t set to read-only. 6. This post suggests moving your game files around. 7. You may want to uninstall and reinstall D2 and Steam if none of these suggestions help.
1 ReplyEdited by Rush: 5/10/2020 2:19:24 PMThis happened earlier in the event to players, on all platforms. It only started with me last night, where the game completely froze and I had to force-quit and restart it; now it won't load at all today. Since it is only happening to a small percentage, however, I doubt very much they will extend Guardian Games... If we don't get all the Triumphs because of it, Bungie would likely argue it's not their problem.

2 RepliesI have had the exact same issues with my game. I have a ryzen 5 2600 1660 ti as well and 16gb of ram. I try to play comp and halfway through i just crash, and this is the second time i've been suspended from comp in the past 24 hours due to "leaving and incompleting a match." Like what? and then when i go to the page it tells me to in the game to get help all there is for help is they just tell you to basically restart your router. No help so far, I wanna play but i cant.
