Warlock glide is way too slow
It is insane how slow the glide is for the Warlock.
It needs a buff like super bad and dont talk about Transverse Steps or max mobility because it isnt the problem.
The problem is the glide itself and how slow the ascension is. It doesnt matter if I have max mobility or not, the glide should not be that slow for a FPS.
If you are reading this early or late, someone reminded me that Burst Glide got the nerf a while back. I totally forgot about that. 😂😂😂

1 ReplyI hate how icarus dash kills your momentum instead of building it up. I don't mind strafe glide's current speed, lift, and movement, but I do wish the duration on subsequent midair activations was increased I really wish you could build more momentum with burst glide instead of being capped at such a low speed. And yeah, the initial speed of the lift is so slow.

1 ReplyNone of the characters move freely in this game... they're all stuck in some kind of space mud. Warlock is the worst though, you're right. Funny though, when I play high level PVP, they seem to move faster than anything I've ever seen...

2 RepliesWarlocks are almost extinct at this point, most under appreciated class in the game, worst class synergy, worst class with exotics, worst supers, worst neutral games except top tree dawnblade and bottom tree voidwalker. If anyone bothered to look at a warlocks skill tree they will notice that warlocks have the most random perks that have absolutely no reason to be there and cant bond at all with the class. Bottom tree dawnblade is a perfect example, there is nothing in that class that chains to the other perks. Bottom tree stormcaller is another one, why have landfall on a class meant for spamming arc souls and regenerating rift as quickplay as possible? In what way does landfall help the class? It literally makes no sense considering landfall is a super ability that would completely bond with the top tree stormcaller that already has transcendence

If you are using burst glide over strafe glide, you do not know how to warlock. I think the jump you are looking for is the Titan jump so how about using that instead of asking to make all the classes the exact same?

Tap your jump button . Push . Push . Let go and repeat it and it will make you burst glide faster

1 ReplyYou must have crappy armor. I jump smoothly with a 7 mobility. That may be your issue. You may want more depending on the glide you choose. I felt that way when i used a 5 mobility its to low for burst glide. Stats are what determine everything in this game. My hunter i use a 7 as well and it really does make a difference, at 8 i over jump some platforms by accident. My buddy runs a 10 and his warloc jump scales my warlocs like wtf, but i dont main a warloc to grind for good armor stats. Try a 7 n above stat mobility, might fix your complaint.

You mean for console or pc? I feel alot of people dont understand that destiny feels and plays totally different between the two. That's why alot of streamers have decided to stick to pc only as they can't juggle the difference in gameplay and frame rates.

7 Repliesdude if you time the burst glide right you can actually go faster than any other class. Not to mention with Top Tree dawn skating not a single class will have their chance to follow you.

You have an insane amount of momentum running the "fast" one but don't have the speed to justify how little control you have while moving in the air. Control glide is fine and give you great control like you'd expect. But if you want to move quickly you have no options as a warlock. Sliding doesn't do jack squat 90% of the time. Can't really evade anything in the air cause you draw too much agro. You can try blinking on 1 subclass with a dumb cooldown that still prevents you from shooting and aiming afterwards. Or you can try to dodge slowly but you're still in the air drawing agro. I think warlocks are really for the hardcore or if you want to challenge yourself.

Burst Glide did not get nerfed. The speed boost it gives you while in Daybreak was nerfed.

Bunny hopping is how I always get around or evade. The slow speed helps to accurately climb and not slip off everything. The burst momentum should definitely last a bit longer though. Mobility only helps the vertical momentum which is why I don't bother with the stat.

Agree, it's gross. This is how bad it actually is, go to Gambit Prime and play the map where the floor rotates on a ring around the main arena... run with the moving floor so you get a movement increase relative to the stationary map... then launch yourself forward with burst glide... you actually slow down when you should be launched forward. You can thank PvP for this btw, Warlocks were able to leap across the map in their super with burst glide after the go-fast update and rightly so, they needed it to make up for nova warp being nerfed to shit and melee being so slow. So here we are with a shitty movement speed Warlock again while the other classes can maintain twice the agility. Disclaimer, I main a Titan with high mobility
