1 ReplyYes, Cayde is dead. And Sundance is dead so he can’t be revived. There is lore about how a “dead” Exo (non-Guardian) can sometimes be fixed up and “revived” if they haven’t taken too much damage. Depending on the state of Cayde’s body it might be possible, but we don’t know. And no, there is no “backup” of Cayde’s consciousness stored in the Deep Stone Crypt. Exos don’t work like your home computer. The human consciousness was encoded and moved into the Exo shell. It couldn’t be duplicated.
