Auto Rifles should not have more Range than Hand Cannons, change my mind.

They should add the noisy cricket to the game. Sure one bullet kills but there would be massive knock back sending you flying backwards. Have a wall behind you and the impact will kill you. Also it uses special one round clip and low reserves, no zoom.

I switched to a pulse rifle. Hand cannons will have their time to shine again I'm sure. Till then...use something else.

3 RepliesMaybe one day they will make an exotic hand cannon that's like the gun Joker used in Tim burtons bat man. The one with the barrel that was like 4 feet long. Then that particular hand cannons range can be better than an assault rifle. Other wise, yes assault rifles range should be a lot greater. If anything hand cannons range is still to long, needs to be pulled in by a meter or 2.

1 ReplyIn reality ARs do have more range that HCs, due to the longer barrel, thus the projectile develops longer velocity, therefore travels faster/longer before being subjected to atmospheric pressure and gravity, while inflicting more damage to hit target, and its dmg drop takes longer to occur.

1 ReplyAuto rifle is still a rifle, and hand cannon is still a handgun. That’s why. Rifle barrel is longer, bullet is higher velocity.

1 ReplyIt’s technically a revolver with a high PISTOL caliber versus a LONG BARREL RIFLE utilizing a 7.62mm round (based on the shell casing) or a 30-06 (based on size of the magazine) you’re just not gona have that accuracy over extended range engagements.

Might give you a glimpse of what lethal range is all about. Snipers in this game should have no fall off on any map. Its a rifle. It should have more range than a hand cannon. Longer barrel. Assumed rifled barrel. There is no reason a hand cannon should out range a rifle. They should out range side arms.

I'll do this in 1 sentance without a lot of numbers. The barrel length of a Auto Rifle vs a Hand Cannon justifies it's range accuracy.

2 RepliesMight as well not call them Auto[u][i]rifles[/i][/u] then. What's the point in calling something a rifle if it doesn't have the range to back it up. I'm one of the guys that is completely ok with the hand canon range nerf back a couple seasons ago. After all who would realistically bring a pistol to fight against a Sniper rifle or Assault rifle irl?

Because these guns act and are based off guns irl. Irl your assault rifle will obviously have more range and accuracy than your magnum.
