I’m not a casual all I play is comp and now since the Hardlight nerf I’d say 90% of the games it was full teams of hand canon users. Hand canons are still the most powerful and viable weapon in the game and there are more viable hand canons to chose from than any other weapons class put together.

I have all of them except for NF but I hate using hand canons. I don’t like them, there too clutch and I would much rather use a pulse or auto. Pulses suck right now because most maps are small to medium size. I get beat most of the time using an auto to Lunas, Trust, Spare Rations, NF etc... I can’t get the Trials auto because I can’t get anyone for a team not even my clan. I ply so much comp solo that my kd got killed.

Pick up a weapon that you like very much and feel comfortable using with a lot of success and you’ll win your battles. I use a rapid fire pulse rifle and I find a lot of success with it. I’m not too keen of HC neither. Maybe you need some more practice in the crucible. I tell people all the time, trials isn’t for everyone. It’s the pinnacle activity for the crucible.
