This hotfix was really just about nerfing the hardlight? Smh, that's a bad precedent being set, i hope you know that. I say that cause when the next 'it' weapon is dominating pvp, people are going to expect you to hotfix a nerf for it. And there is always a next 'it' weapon, so what are yall gonna do, just keep nerfing?

  • You haven’t been around very long have you? It’s been this way since 1.1.1 in vanilla D1, basically whatever streamers say now goes tho. None of it matters anyway bc hand cannons and shotguns along with truth is always going to be the pvp meta, nerf to snipers can attest to that. Pvp in general has ruined the destiny pve experience imo and it can go anytime. Maybe I’d return lol

  • I've been around since the beginning of the franchise, and this is new. Normally if they think a weapon/armor is broken, they tend to disable it, and/or include the fix with other things in a later patch/hotfix, but they dont do hotfixes only for a specific weapon like this. They didnt do this for vex mytho, LoW, PL, thorn, telesto, luna, not forgotten, etc. That's why i said this is a bad precedent. As for meta being hand cannons and shotties, that is true. No matter what changes bungie makes, the community asks for, it always seems to go back to that. As for pvp ruining destiny pve, i wouldnt go that far, no matter the changes to pvp, pve still finds a way to strive. I will say though: bungie being reluctant to separate the balancing for both can be annoying at times. Especially when they decide to balance the game around one specific game mode ignoring what it does to the rest of the game.

  • My apologies, but to be fair it read you were not a vet lol To me anyway. Imo pvp holds the pve experience back by design and it’s partly why I quit. That part is on me tho, rest of my reasons are accurate and have good reason for.

  • I’ve been around since day 1 in D1 actually. PvP player at heart. I just don’t see or understand your correlation is all

  • Finally someone else admits this! Every time I say this I get 50 comments attacking me and when I look at each player they all run hand cannon/shotty. PvP is a joke. You have 10+ hand canons that will wreck in PvP and now there’s like 3 auto pretty maybe 2 pulse rifles and maybe 2 scouts. Sidearms are ok but with so many smaller and medium maps a lot of players camp near corners and are on top of you before you can kill them. They got Recluse nerfed, Erentil nerfed, Hardlight and now I’m hearing complaints about Suros so that will probably be next.

  • It’ll never end, this has been going on since 1.1.1 in vanilla D1. I could always handle it bc the game was fun, but it’s lost any and all fun imo so I haven’t played in a month and do not plan on returning to this dumpster fire. Maybe if Bungie sunsets it’s lead I would or if September’s DLC is actually good. Crossing my fingers.

  • Serious question... How does PvP ruin your PvE experience? There is no connection there?

  • It’s been going on since 1.1.1 This is a pve game at its core yet Bungie balances it around pvp and it’s needs. Why you think stomp mechanics are a thing? For example. It’s down to the design, pve suffers bc it has to be designed around pvp balance and it’s not right. Why are the best weapons in the game so good in pvp yet suck in pve? There needs to be complete separation of the two modes.
