PVP has always been trash
You want to show you are good and skilled in PVP well here is an idea @bungie make the entire PVP experience so that you can only equip white armour and weapons no mods, buffs or boosts no aim assists nothing no supers or abilities. Its all about weapon skill so lets see it!! Only then l will take your PVP seriously, then l will take crucible players seriously!!

What is it with those apparently hardcore PvP'ers that they have the wild idea Destiny 2 was at any point aimed at progamers? This game [b]is[/b] for casuals. Aim assist and bullet magnetism make this pretty obvious.

Nah bad players would quit instantly because they would get shit on and good players would quit instantly as well because it would be boring. Honestly double primary should come back to have a high skill gap.

7 RepliesPvP has always been a mess since the release 5-6 years ago. The most balanced it ever was was at the beginning of D2 but everyone cried about it because they couldn’t crutch on their one shot kill weapons.

No primary engagement in solo fights, abundance of teamshooting, team rushing and super abuse. The new tryhards skill set isnt defeating you in a fight but teamshooting you together. “Git Gud” cannot be used anymore for this game because it basically saying “Teamshoot”

5 RepliesThis game will never be competitive or take a significant amount of skill. There would have to be a total shift in priorities and it would be a lot of work that I don’t believe is worth it. Keep PvP in the game but don’t try to make it competitive at this point, there are already games out there that are built from the ground up to be competitive with developers who know how to make it so.

They should focus on balancing the teams first. That's a base mechanic that I'm beyond surprised hasn't been addressed or fixed since Destiny 1 Day 1. When I mean balancing the teams out, I mean having an equal amount of people on both sides, not making it 2v4 or 1v3, or 1v5, or any variation of numbers where teams can be easily balanced. It's been a problem since Destiny 1 Day 1, but it's still a thing in Destiny 2 Year 3.

3 RepliesTo have proper balance within the crucible, as you noted, we'd have to flatten the playing field so the only factors that do distinguish are positioning, aim, and reaction time (i.e. skill). This would be antithetical to the core design of Destiny though. For what it's worth, I'm pretty confident that nobody cares what you do or don't take seriously.

1 ReplyWhy are you throwing a tantrum if you “don’t take it seriously”? Destiny PVP has never been balanced. Hunters ruled D1 and they I could argue they’re even more popular than before here in D2. I got over it. This game caters to hunters. Always has. Accept it and move on. And while your version would work for balance it would get boring to players. Some play pvp because of a certain class. Not all but some. Ive choose to avoid (for the most part) playing my hunter in PvP. It just feels so dirty crutching around on the easymode character. 😈 But this game will NEVER be “balanced”.

I don't want all PVP like that as I enjoy testing new class builds that I find interesting and fun, but a "barebones" playlist with primaries only would be nice. I'd play it from time to time.

On pc everything is much more stable so a white tier hand cannon will still perform decently on PC bit on console it's horrendous! Although if crucible came with its own weapons that could be used only for crucible then that would be a different story.

1 ReplyIt is never supposed to be a symmetric game like CS:GO or COD. What you say would destroy the whole idea of the game. And it would be boring as hell. Being good at this game rewards you with being good and winning. And if you don't perform good, try to get better.
