Thank God. A Suros or Summomer meta leaves A LOT more room for pulses and hand cannons. Hard Lights being spammed made pulses bad due to the no damage dropoff thing unless you were at Blast Furnace range, and all of the ricochet rounds being spammed made playing cover ridiculous.
Hoenstly, I'm much more excited about a Suros meta.

I shredded Hard Light's with Last Perdition on Widow's Court. The problem with Pulse Rifles is Snipers being better. Not Hard Lights. If you think Pulse Rifles will find their way into the meta cause Hard Light was nerfed you're in for disappointment. Although I think people sleep on Outlast. It's a sleeper meta pick imo.

Well Hard Light occupies the same range as Outlast and kills faster and easier. It may not be the only thing in the way of pulses, but it's definitely one of them. That and the maps.

Maps definitely don't help Pulse Rifles. The only one I feel really comfortable running a Pulse Rifle on is Widow's Court. Nerfing Hard Light if anything makes life easier for Shotty's and HC's not PR's. I mained PR's in D1 but in D2 the maps and the speed of the game is just too much for Pulse Rifles in most situations. For Scouts it's even worse. I don't even wanna run a Scout on Widow's. Lol.

Rapid fire pulses are really good for a few maps in the right lanes. Javelin, Endless Vale, etc. But I wouldn't use anything other than a rapid fire on those maps. That's about it.

I'm actually fairly conformable running a 150/200/260 Scout on most maps, they have headshot TTKs comparable to a Cannon, so they can compete. Problem is they're slower and generally harder to use than a HC, due to lower bodyshot damage and higher zoom.
-
You're a better man than me. The only map I ever did good with a Scout in was Equinox. And I am pretty sure they removed that from rotation. Lol.

agreed.

Agree. I used hardlight some and it was ridiculous. Many defended the gun but they defend absolutely everything in this game even when adjustments are needed. Good job bungie!
