Can you please explain the damage fall off floor part?
The weapons perk prevents damage fall off and I want to know if it's being removed.

It's getting damage falloff. No idea where falloff where start (My guess is 28 meters or so.), but the lowest the damage will go will be 0.7x the base damage.

It has like 5 points less range than monte, which starts fall off at 25 meters. But what I don't understand is...why they didnt specifically mention that they were removing fall off on it and THEN mention it's getting an above average floor like 0.7x? I feel like the wording could be talking about its SUPER long range capabilities, because it does actually experience damage fall off...just not till an incredibly long distance. But to be honest, I think adding damage fall off and nerfing its ricochet as hard as they are will hurt it badly. Those 2 things were literally the only reason it was as good as it is in crucible so...yeah it's going to die. And its pve capabilities are going to be crippled because then it has to be closer to deal damage and besides breaking shields, offered next to nothing. Nobody uses hardlight in pve for its ricochet, never have and never will.

You're right about that. We'll have to wait and see.

Basically, how Bungie does falloff is it'll multiply your damage by 0.x depending on where it is. The floor for ARs is 0.5 times damage, or you'll do half at long range. They're changing Hard Light from not having any falloff to falling off to 0.7 times, or 70% of the base damage after falloff. The new ricochet multiplier seems to be designed to just remove that damage falloff.

Wouldnt they specifically mention that they are removing the fall off on it rather than just state they are adding a floor to it? It's not just some random bonus it has, it's literally part of its perk so I feel like clarification on their end would have made this so much easier to understand. Literally "hardlight will no longer lack damage fall off and will scale appropriately with its archetype." Then "but since we want to preserve the weapons ability to ricochet and shoot at more extended distances, we are giving it a damage fall off floor that is above the other autos." I dont know...I don't like this patch. It looks more like they are just trying to get rid of it than balance it.
