Abilities Titans and Hunters Share...Which Warlocks Lack

1. Projectile reflection - The Hunters have Whirlwind Guard, allowing them to reflect projectiles. The Titans have Antaeus Wards, which they can use to slide and reflect projectiles, the Barricade blocks damage from one direction, and they can block with Sentinel Shield on all subclasses. 2. Suppression. Titans have suppressor grenades that can shut down Supers if used correctly. Hunters have the Void Super that can tether and disable Supers. 3. Melee-Ranged Supers. The Sentinel Shield can be used both for short-range melees, and long-range throwing of shields. While the Arc Hunter Super is mainly a meleeing Super, it also has medium-range with the heavy attack (and combo capabilities). 4. One-Hit Kill Melee abilities. While each element of Titans has this, the Hunters were recently given knives that can one-shot enemies if they hit the head (and get replenished when they do so). Warlocks have none of this. Their Rifts may heal and empower, but they're completely stationary and leave them vulnerable. Even the Well of Radiance leaves you wide open to damage, particularly damage from other Supers. They lack the means to shut down other Supers. No ability, no Exotic. They have to expend their own damage-dealing exotics to counter another (Hunter Tethers have greater utility than just "counter Super). Dawnblade was one of the new classes in Destiny 2, but it was the only one of the new Supers WITHOUT melee capabilities. You can't block with it; you can't use melee with it. It's solely ranged attacks. Nova Warp is the only roaming Super that needs to charge before it does damage. Titans and Hunters have immediate melee attacks. A Stormtrance Warlock has to deal sustained damage in the time it takes for a Hunter or Titan Super (or even Nova Warp). They lack one-hit-kill melee abilities. The closest they come is Handheld Supernova. But while Hunters have one-hit knives that refund Melee energy on precision kills, and Insurmountable Skullfort gives back a full melee on charge Melee kills, Handheld Supernova, and the Exotic pairs well with it, Converse Hold, were both nerfed. Otherwise, no Warlock melee has a one-hit kill potential with melee or grenade abilities. And that's just what I have time to comment on. You can't say that "each class is unique" while having two classes share abilities which the third class lacks. And no, Warlocks having abilities neither Hunters nor Titans have does not alleviate that.

Conversely, Warlocks are the only class which can Blink (though it takes an Exotic to make it worthwhile, Blink is very good in the right hands). Rifts are best used to assist in Lane Control. If you need a quick heal after/during a duel, you drop your rift off to the side in cover, then repeek once you're healed. Do this with Jade Rabbit, you'll need a shower afterwards lol Stormcaller can absolutely go toe to toe with other supers, but you may need to use Ionic Blink to throw them off, and you have to know your range. Its longer than an arcstriders lunge, and you can tank a hit. Start hitting them as they enter your range, you'll get tagged sure but they wont get a second swing off. Backpedal for best results, maximise the gap they need to close down. Same goes for sentinel titans... strikers... well, thats a shutdown super so it is what it is lol. Dawnblade can essentially fly whilst attacking, giving it mobile properties unavailable to Titans or Hunters, and whilst I too dearly miss that insane speed boost jump, it was just too much in PvP. Big armour, big lethality and insane mobility... it was hands down the best overall super in the Crucible at that point. I could go on, but I cant be bothered to write out a thesis on why Warlocks can hold their own in PvP. Its not a class which lends itself to aggressive play (unless you can master Blink) but used right Warlocks can make good use of their abilities in PvP.

  • There are many things that two classes have that the third class does not. If everyone had the same abilities, there would be no reason to even have three separate characters.

  • Bungie actually really hates warlocks and they wont do anything to change them! the people designing exotics and abilties pob main a titan or hunter . BOTH have them have helms that buff heath and overshield or give a overshield and can keep moving with that buff ! worlocks have rift a freaking Circle they have to stay in !! soon as you step out its gone and be at full heath for the overshield . Titans can auto load machine guns and autos, buff swords to super and buff for smgs. hunters can buff sidearms ,hold bows forever ,reaload stowed hand cannons .both can suppress abilities. both have a way to block supers and weapons fire. Warlock have exotics that are useless or foucus on the rift. chest armor like chromatic fire is just sad and obviously no real work went into it! Only few exotics are really useful. Top nova bomb can be shot buy anything killing you especially bosses which is stupid! rifts take too long to use most of this character abiltys are focused on support. The empowered rift only works on body shots not head shots in pvp. Who wants to stay in one spot anyways this is almost certain death in pvp All you can do is work with what u got. Or switch to hunter or titan there gear and ability are geared more toward pvp in my opinion
