Hello I don't post very often but I hope everyone values my opinion of some sort. But I want to go over almost everything in detail in terms of pvp what is wrong with the pvp.
1) hard light- by far a very broken gun and overpowered. This gun has the best base stats in the game on top of no damage fall off for an auto. This gun I think can use a nerf in body damage significantly but also a sliver from precision damage. (For all 600 rpm autos). This will allow the gun to reward headshots instead of shooting in the body then moving to the head. I think it will totally balance things out closer without destroying the gun. Theres a lot of half body half precision shooting. Also it would be nice to fix the damage glitches. Sometimes pyou get 3-4 tapped by the gun in game. I've 2 shot someone before and we shouldn't have to rely on damage glitches to win a gunfight because there's nothing really proven. Also the rounds that bounce off walls should maybe do 1.5x damage instead of 2x the damage.
2)shotguns- shotguns are in a completely fine spot I feel like. My only request is make shotguns more consistent. I'm tired of guardians being at a sliver health and they kill me when we both have max range. That's really the only annoying thing about them.
3)revoker- this gun should be an exotic. It's so similar to icebreaker from destiny 1. I don't see any exotic snipers even used in crucible because they all suck. Revoker has a special perk that gives ammo on missed shots and deals the most damage in pvp. All other snipers are okay to me.
4)hand cannons- there needs to be a difference in archetype for hand cannons. I can't tell a difference between 140 and 150. I don't see any 120-130 hand cannons. So what I think is that 150 should be 3 headshots, 140 is 2 headshots 1 body, 110 should be 1 headshot, 2 body shots. I think that will promote different styles of play with the hand cannons.
5)pulse rifles- I'll be honest I'm not sure what you can do to balance them. Make a small buff to the handling on all of them might help a little bit?
6) scout rifles- they are in a good spot. I think they should be able to flinch just a little bit more because they are super long range. But reduce flinch off incoming fire on low rate of fire scouts.
7) anteus wards- most broken exotic in the game. I don't think a slide shotgun battle should be lost everytime to a Titan because of 1 exotic. No other exotic has that influence on any class. Not to mention it defects golden gun and rockets which is heavy and supers. It should be able to knock out like juggernaut from destiny 1. Like shotgun should do maybe half damage so you have to melee him still.
8) Dunemarchers- this exotic is relatively good. I think you can just nerf the range of the arc chain by 5 feet maybe. Not too much but just a slight.
9) bastion- the thing with bastion is that it's so hard to balance because of what it does. I would say keep the gun as it is for now. The gun will just be more broken if you change something. It'll either be the most popular weapon or non used weapon. Maybe nerf the damage but give the gun vorpal weapon of anything. But that's all I could think of it right now.
10) melees- all melees are broken and so I think lunge and range needs to be nerfed so there is more consistency in the connection. The warlock daenblade one needs a range cap I feel like. Like the chaos reach one. The hunter smoke needs a nerf. It shouldn't take away the ability to blind you and prevent you from jumping or sliding. It should be 1 or the other.
11) tether- this needs to tether on impact I feel like. It takes too long to tether. You can nerf the range on it just a hair but it should be more consistent.
12)titan barracade- this needs to go down faster. It's way too slow. Warlocks can pop their rift instantly basically. Titans need that.
13)hunter dodge- what's the point of dodging when you punch them out of it? It makes no sense. That's a case where a melee should not connect. They are using an ability to dodge it.
Other game ideas:
-bring back twilight garrison for titans so they have a way to dodge.
-bring Titan and warlock skeeting back so that they can compete with hunters.
-give hunter bones of eao again.
Those were my ideas on making crucible more enjoyable. I think the class ideas would be very helpful because that's literally why everyone uses a hunter. I'm a D1 day 1 hunter main. I think this would help modify the amount of hunters we would see in the game and each class will shine in a much better way. Hopefully my feedback is helpful. I tried my best to describe a lot of the issues and how I think we could fix them. Leave some feedback please and open up your thoughts!

1 ReplySo much PVP focused forum posts about this weapon or that perk or armor piece is so bad or overpowered, and they all need to be adjusted or nerfed. People, all these things he listed were made for doing raids, strikes, endgame activities, etc. . Reworking them or adjusting them just to suit the whining PVP crowd does effect all other aspects of the game. The PVE people rarely ever complain about any thing you listed. Most of these you listed shine in other aspects of the game. Just stop being so self centered about your favorite part (PVP) and let the rest of the community enjoy these items as they are. And stop dying to everything in PVP!

7 Replies“Warlocks can pop their rift instantly”? Oh no no no. You clearly have never used it. Try actually using it before you comment on it. Please.
and tether should not activate on impact, that would be uncounterable and entirely broken, especially with moebius quiver
Edited by michael: 4/23/2020 4:32:11 PMI agree with most of these. I skimmed it at first and was like “How does anyone still have a problem with shotguns and hand cannons” since the thread is supposedly a list of broken things but the suggestions you had arent bad

1 ReplyI agree but also disagree with some of the points you have made hut the forums are made for discussion so here's my thoughts in return for yours, 1. Hardlight, ye si agree this needs to be looked at soon, yes people are liking the auto rifle meta, myself included I even run hardlight sometimes, but with the bounce of hardlight this weakens you before you have a chance to retaliate, if you are hit by it as the no fall off and damage buff on bounce, but I would rather have the challenge of actually fighting someone than already being weakened before you get that chance to, so yes this needs tweaked. 2. Shotguns, yes they are in a good spot, but aggressive frames need to be tweaked, yes slugs can out shot them but not everyone can use them like they are supposed to be used and I congratulate those that can, but range on slug needs to be tweaked and aggressive frames very very slightly on spread of Bullets. 3. Revoker, totally agree that it is a legendary with exotics perks, but it doesn't need to be in that category, I agree it is very similar to ice breaker, however I feel it should be every second bullet that is returned, yes this makes it like muilligan, except mulligan only has chance of return, but I feel with Revoker it should definitely be a garentted return on every second bullet missed as you only start a match with 2 shots anyway. 4. Hand cannons, I don't feel like these are in a good spot, yes last word is completly destroyed on pc, and for those on console it is good, I'm not going to say what as this will be patched if "certain" people find out but its good on console, but with lunas I feel that should stay as it is but NF should be increased as you lose the faster reload with it. 5. Pulse rifles, they are good, and I think your handling idea won't work as there are many an exotic that increases that one being opidian aspect, so no no chagne for pulse. 6. Scouts, I think Randy's should have less flinch very slightly but other than that they are good, no change. 7. Anteus wards, I agree there should not be a full refect of Bullets/supers etc, and they should take not half but 1/3 of damage to them selves with 2/3 being reflected as you could easily clean up with a shotgun. Leaving both yourself and then alive to first pull of the trigger. 8. Dunemarchers, I don't feel like they need change, as arc web (chain damage) and shinbus (tracking granade) match to this pretty well. 9. Bastion, by far one of my favorite weapons, but I feel it should a secondary placement instead of primary slot, and I agree I should have vorpal, but that being said it can already take out a super, so I'm actually on the fen e about that change. 10. Melee, I disagree to this to some extent, yes the contentions need looked at as I have missed a fair few with all classes, but warlocks dont need a nerf of any kind in this area as the other two classes can easily out play, yes a titan needs to sprint and a hunter needs to be accurate, but warlocks got handheld nerfed, only because people didn't like people charging it round corners, I'm sorry this is not true, yes some people did it but it was one of the only things that a warlock had that one hit, you could easily same the exact same thing about snipers (hardscoping), pre-charge (fusion rifles), titans (charging) as stated before, or Hunters (smoke bomb), warlocks need handheld back to its original state, to compete with the melee of other classes. But no the warlock melees don't need tweaked they are fine, as celestial fire burns, doesn't kill you unless you are of low health anyway, even then it needs find you, and the arc melee is fine it has enough distance to keep you safe but again is very easily dodged, warlocks also have the slowest melee time of all classes. 11. Tether, I agree this should activate immediately on impact, with a very small tweak to range. 12. Titan Barricades, I Completly disagree with this, as with both titans and warlocks animations are slow, but titans are built for resistance, and thus can survive while putting shield up while get the small recov after words, warlocks have to stand there with little protection while in animation and be fired upon and be killed before you even get a chance to heal like the rift is supposed to do, so no titans dont need a change with this warlocks do with how fast it goes down as they can instantly pop in down. 13. Hunter dodge, no opinion. As stated I agree with some of this but some I dont but the forums are for discussion, I was a hunter main since day 1 of d1 and switched to warlock in d2 as I needed a change, with your statement about modifying Hunters, bungie as already said there is a massive amount of Hunters in the game, which is why they had to give the other classes a chance in the guardian games realeased on Tuesday, and with the amount of Hunters in game people would straight up stop playing, I'm not saying they should this is a game that should be enjoyed not have to be a chore, I'm hoping you will rwad this and maybe give me some more discussion on my opinions.

Edited by Hazuki: 4/22/2020 5:52:53 PMThe only things here that stood out to me are bringing back TG and BoE Hunters. Maaaybe the Hardlight part if we're stretching a bit because Bungie just needs to add damage falloff to the gun and it'll be fine.

1 Reply600 autos ain't broken just fix hardlight Revoker is nowhere near ice breaker. Only thing it does in regenerate 1 ammo for a missed shot compared to regeneration of 6 shots regardless of missing a shot A lot of calls for nerfs that are not needed as well as buffs.
