Drifter - "Sometimes I think you forget about me down here"
Us - "You think???"
I really like the drifter as a character and his story is great but the general perception of Gambit as a whole is obvious and the game needs some reinvigoration.... And I don't mean we need to be forced to play it more. Maybe some new Gambit game types, maybe objectives for variation, even some new exclusive rotating loot. Gambit is fun every once and a while, but tbh playing it for a couple hours straight isn't desirable to say the least. I feel like reckoning is more rewarding and enjoyable as a whole.....Then again my perceptions could be wrong

4 RepliesSo I guess that means I’m the only person who really enjoyed Gambit. I play it almost double the time in strikes and 10 times more than Crucible.

2 RepliesGambit is a pure example of a good idea in concept being poorly executed. It just takes the worst of both PvE and PvP and mashes them into one gamemode. I'd love it if they could address the heavy ammo economy there, make the Primevals actually engaging/dynamic, and make invasions fun rather than a sweaty OHK fest. Right now, it's not worth doing outside of bounties/quests, and sometimes not even then.

1 ReplyI always play Gambit when I’m bored. What I want is a continuation or conclusion to the Allegiance Quest, maybe more Drifter quests, some lore, an actual story. I read all of the Drifters Lore and really like it, he’s a very interesting fellow. Would love another season/ DLC centered around him and the Vanguard. Maybe he crosses the Vanguards last nerve and the ones who sided with him need to help him escape? Could be a cool escort mission (which I don’t think Bungie has done before?), evacuate him in your ship maybe? The vanguard side could have a man hunt sort of deal to find him. Maybe have a pvp/pve arena between the two sides? I don’t know, I’m just saying what I would like to see done with the Drifter and Vanguard, something new and interesting and not a material dump again.

New maps and new loot would be nice. I still enjoy Vanilla Gambit (mostly for bounties, easier to do, ads not so tanky) but one mode has to be retired. It was my favorite game mode for months after Forsaken dropped but it got stale.

2 RepliesThere's a LONG list of problems with Gambit. Honestly, vanilla Gambit should just be retired (and tweak any related quests as needed). Put all all the focus on fixing Prime.

6 RepliesFun fact: he’ll say he supports the class of whichever your current Guardian is.

5 RepliesI think Prime was a great idea but people don’t like the sharp swing on an invasion. I think if they took the concept of Prime armor and made it to apply to Reckoning and then added some higher tiers to up the challenge to match? That would be a bananas game mode and people would like it, high action and strong “power” feel. They need to really change their encounter design philosophy. They said they don’t like spawning enemies behind you, I don’t see why not.
