Since it came out I’ve been kind of interested, but I’ve always had other games I’ve been doing. It looks pretty good still, and I was thinking of getting it now.
I want to get y’all’s opinion on it first though so can you reply with three things for me?
1. A 1-10 rating of the game in your opinion.
2. Your favorite part about the game.
3. Your least favorite part, maybe a flaw or something.

5, it gets stale quick. The only progression is unlocking skins from loot boxes.

2 RepliesDo you have friends playing it? Coming into it this late, you do realize the extreme disadvantage you would be at against the diehards and tryhards, right? Have you watched any gameplay of it, and does it seriously strike a nerve in you that needs to be explored? Are you a defiant competitor who feels the need to impose his will upon others, and will persevere through all learning, hardship, troubles, and defeat to become truly competitive? Are you willing to spend $ on this game if you do not answer 3 of the 4 questions above favorably?

Used to play it a ton when I had it on PS4. I was on my 3rd "prestige" before I stopped playing it regularly. Eventually I bought it for PC but I had already played it so much on PS4 so there was really no point. There was no way I'm gonna grind it again. Stopped playing it as much because I can't stand the way Blizzard balances shit in their games and sadly their traditions made their way into Overwatch. The constant nerfs and reworks of some of my favorite heroes turned me away. Only Blizzard thinks changing time on a ability from 3 seconds to 3.25 seconds is a buff/nerf. If you plan on playing definitely play with a group of people because randoms in Overwatch are stupid and some of the dumbest you'll encounter in any game. If you want a fun shooter than you might enjoy it.

Hmmm. If you get a good deal ($40 or less) I’d say get it. Overwatch is a pretty good game, but it’s biggest flaw I that it’s super repetitive. It’s fun and really competitive, but I just don’t play it much anymore.
-
I’m quite a fan of the game. While I’m able to keep up quite well in most shooter games using my other faculties, I’ve always had unsteady hands and thus poor aim, which Overwatch allows me to work around. In fact, I think the game has heroes for just about anything you’re good at or enjoy.
-
It’s a good game but not for me so I dont know how to fairly rate it. It’s very heavy on team play and it’s hard to shine individually with how much strategy and coordination is involved. You’ll get mad at your teammates a lot and your teammates will get mad at you.

5 RepliesIf you have a dedicated group to play it with that WON'T turn into toxic jerks, yes. If you try to play it solo, stay as FAR away from the game and its community as possible. You don't know what you're up against. The toxicity of Overwatch makes Destiny's community look like the Care Bears.

Latrodectus5002DECEPTION QUEEN - old
It can be fun, but personally I’d say no. Online Only (as far as I know, haven’t played in years), progression centred entirely around randomised micro transactions & overall lack of variety are the big issues. -
8/10 Definitely more fun with friends. Unless you want to break a controller i do not advise playing solo.

Don’t buy 1. 3, kinda fun, but it’ll get repetitive 2. Heroes are nice, very diverse 3. It made my brother addicted to it and he has become super toxic from it.
Hecking Spitfires
Edited by RokNBrokN: 4/17/2020 10:40:14 PM1. 6.5/7 out of 10 2. It's fun to screw around in with friends as long as they don't care 3. The people that I normally played with were just mean. Toxic is a decent way to describe that community. Misc thoughts. Overall the game isn't bad by any means. The minute you stop liking it you won't have much of a reason to go back. The gunplay is bland but suitable. The abilities are all interesting and add some dynamic to the game, but most abilities are just counters to other abilities. The meta in the game shifts extremely with every update. If you are playing to win you only get a small amount of team customization, which is what ultimately killed the game for me. I couldn't play who I wanted because I had to be playing a character to counter the enemy.

11 RepliesEdited by Arynezeal: 4/17/2020 6:03:33 PMMy favorite pvp shooter since Halo 3. 1) I give it an 8. 2) I love the teamwork, the different heroes and mechanics, and the fact that everything after the base game has been free. People always complain about the toxicity, but to be honest I've experienced far less of it in Overwatch than any other shooter I've played, and I've played a lot of them over the years.
Destiny's community is far more toxic.
3) Microtransactions, it's just cosmetics and you can grind for what you want, but it's about tempting people out of their money. Most of the other complaints I've had have been fixed. The other big one would be the lazy events, but I think they're devoting resources for Overwatch 2. Also, unless things have changed, Overwatch 2 is mostly going to be a PvE update. PvP stuff and new heroes, maps, and what not will still be available for the original game and it will still be supported. I've been a bit out of the loop though so this might be outdated news.

Depends...are you planning to play casually or more seriously? OW is a hella of a good game for casual play. Competitive however...thats highly debatable. Ive played it ever since it came out so I can say it has improved alot since release. Its basically another really. Dont get me started on custom games however...holy crap are they good. Every thing from cod zombies to literally having Thomas the train trying to kill ya.

4 Replies1. I don’t do number ratings. Everyone has different interpretations of a 1-10 scale. Sorry. 2. I love healing. There is almost nothing more satisfying than seeing your entire team’s health bars get shredded, and yet have each and every single one of them standing strong, and ready to fight. Overwatc has great healers! They’re all so fun to play! 3. It’s pretty much exclusively multiplayer. I always get bored of multiplayer games. I played OW longer than most, though. (I’m also not a fan of loot boxes) All in all, I enjoyed it. I loved healing up all my buddies, but I ultimately wound up getting bored because Mercy started getting Play of the Game almost every time, and then everyone kept choosing Mercy, and I didn’t get to play healer anymore. I tried getting back into it a few times, but I never could. It just couldn’t ever pull me in again.

5/10 Positives: The teamwork is really fun when people want to work as a team. Something ruins this, but I’ll it mention later. How each character functions is unique and a blast to learn. My favorites to play are Mercy, Mcree, Soldier 76, Meditation robot guy, and big boi with the hammer. Abilities are fun to use. Voice acting is kinda goofy and fun. It can be visually impressive. Negatives: Character balancing can be wack. You can’t ADS. A lot of the hero roster, just isn’t competitive. Characters are bullet sponges that shoot marshmallows. You need teamwork, but.... ....Teamwork doesn’t work. @Genji get your ass down here, we’re pushing to secure the payload, and no I’m not going to heal you. Gun play feels horrific on controller. Maybe I’m just bad, but only having the ability to hip fire, and how the sensitivity handles, it just doesn’t work with me. I’ve encountered (in quickplay) a lot of G fueled MLG hyper competitive voice cracking teens. My experience may not be the same as yours. Many “this isn’t my main account” guys too. It’s not everytime, or every 2-3 times, but it’s frequent enough to make me start the match saying little to nothing. It’s pretty average. Despite not being the best player, I had some fun. It is not worth $60, it is not worth $40, it is worth $20-$30, in my cynical opinion.

It gets boring after maybe a week tops because it’s just the same 2 game modes over and over. It also get super try hard if you get good because of skill based MM.
-
It’s alright for PvP. The game creator has some really stupid stuff in it with how creative it allows you to be. I’ve played Super Smash Bros in it. But the normal gameplay is pretty meh. You’ll see the same heroes over and over because the game is a lot less balanced than people say. Doesn’t help that the community is pretty toxic. And in the normal gamemodes you’re stuck playing only one type of hero with the stupid role queue system they added to try to balance the meta. Overall I give it 6/10

2 RepliesEdited by concreteninja85: 4/17/2020 6:45:56 PMDefinitely get it if you enjoy competitive games that require teamwork. 1. I give it an 8 or 9 in it's current state, it's a fantastic game. 2. On the surface, it may seem like a fairly simple moba like game, but once you actually delve into the mechanics and nuances of each characters abilities, cooldowns, and how they interact with other characters abilities in different scenarios whether it be your enemies or your teammates, it is actually very complex. It's this dynamic of Overwatch's heroes that I find so incredibly intriguing and addictive to play, and it's so unique that it keeps bringing me back, even when I do get bored. These heroes are all so varied in gameplay that you would be doing yourself a disservice to only stick to one. The constant updates are also very nice, as it keeps the game fresh and shifts that character dynamic to be even more varied, especially with the new ban system they implemented this season. I also like how you can earn every single item just by playing the game, but I'm rambling at this point. 3. The lack of progression is kind of disappointing, with how great most other aspects of this game are, it kind of sucks to not have things to work towards, other than cosmetic skins and rank in comp. All there really is in terms of progression is getting your 3 lootboxes each week from the arcade playlist, grinding out normal levels to get more lootboxes, then building up your ranking in the competitive playlist. Fortunately, this is almost made up for with the drive to get better as a player, and to learn the ins and outs of each character to become a chameleon of sorts when it comes to hero variety. Regardless, it would still be nice to see the implementation of challenges or something like that to enhance that feeling of progression. All in all, I absolutely recommend this game if you are into that competitive, teamwork required, moba like gaming experience. Even if you aren't into that, quick play can be fun to play as well, but personally I think the game shines more in the competitive environment.

2 Replies7.5 Gunplay is fun, but movement is very slow. Matches are really sweaty, and can be one sided at times. Characters are really different and play well. I’d say wait for O2 to come out.

5 RepliesRating: 8 Favorite thing: The characters. It’s really fun changing up my play style to best suit a character Least favorite thing: The game can get repetitive, as there are really only three main gamemodes.
