Cross play doesn’t work that way. Furthermore, in order to transfer your d1 character looks to d2, it needed to be done on same account.

Unfortunately, there’s not a lot anyone can do about that. The issue lies with how PlayStation operates in regards to account regionalization. I can’t say if the issue is the same for Microsoft. I would imagine it would be.
