Should hand cannon range come back now.

Title. Let's debate it. Should 140s 2h1b again, or should Bungie just remove the 140 archetype and make them 150s instead? This is about 140s and 110s . Most everyone agrees that 150s are in a descent place right now.

  • So this is how I would handle hand cannons. 140s: Minimum range where fall off starts, 26 meters. Maximum range where damage fall off starts, 31 without range finder. Increase bodyshot damage from 47 to 53. Can 2 crit and 1 body a guardian with under 7 resilience (70+70+53=193). Bodyshot ttk decreases from 5 body at 1.73 to 4 body at 1.28. 110s: Minimum range where damage fall off starts, 27 meters. Maximum range where damage fall off starts, 33 meters without range finder. Increase rpm from 110 to 120. Fastest ttk becomes 1.00 with 1 crit and 2 body against 5 resilience and below guardians. 180s: Don't change the range. Increase bodyshot damage from 38 to 41. Optimal ttk becomes 2 crit and 2 body against 8 resilience and below guardians. Bodyshot ttk stays as 5 body at 1.33 but against all resilience levels. This would hopefully bring these weapons more into play within the current meta. If you are wondering why I didn't increase 140s range very much, it's because they are being granted 2 crit and 1 body, and to give them any more substantial range would push pulse rifles out of the mix because they operate at similar ranges beyond the 32 meter mark.
