I don't understand why I was restricted, really. Yes, I did have a supposed "Aim-Enhancer" in a private match for research purposes.
If there is any way for someone to get an employee to see this, that would be great. The ID: 21064 in case someone from Bungie does see. If you read this and think, yes, I should be banned, then please tell me. If there is anything else that I need to tell you, don't hesitate to ask.
I'll put the whole text of what I appealed to Bungie with right here:

Me and my buddy wanted to see if an "Aim Enhancer" worked (it did not work whatsoever and nothing happened in the slightest) in a private match. We had no intention of using it in the competitive setting. We thought as long as we were not "cheating" in a real game, it would be fine because it didn't affect anyone. We had no intention whatsoever of using it to get at an advantage in the game. We wanted to see how it worked, and if it worked for research purposes. Only.
My buddy was also going to use the "Aim Enhancer" to mess around and see how it works, but neither of ours worked, and only mine would actually run, although nothing happened.
We had no idea we would get banned from a private match with intentions of deleting the program after one use. We wanted to research and tell people how it works. We were even going to try and find out how to not get killed by it.
I also want to point out that I have been playing destiny forever, basically since launch, and I have no idea i would be banned after one time using some kind of macro "Aim Enhancer." I have never "cheated" or messed with this stuff till just now, and I hope my account can reflect that. I have never been banned before. I just don't think this is rightful.
If there is anything else you need to know, please contact me at the email address, above. I love this game, it is my favorite game. Please help me and work with me on this.
Thank you.

A reckoning is coming. Soon it will no longer be up to bungie. Some countries like Japan are now prosecuting video game hackers and are even in the process of amending laws and detailing that any form of cheating in multiplayer video games is illegal and in some cases a felony which is prosecutable carrying both fines and prison or jail time. In the US has even been described a violation of the consumers constitutional rights since they have legally purchased a product. Have fun glitching, boosting, hacking, modding, cheating and manipulating games while you can. It may not go into effect here for years or it may be next month but you will pay for your dishonesty. With the way the FBI and federal law enforcement works and with the tech at their disposal they can and will find you

4 RepliesYou willfully and knowingly installed cheat software onto your PC, for the purpose of using said software while playing Destiny 2. You then started up the game, and utilized the cheat software while playing, which is a direct violation of the TOS you agree to be bound by each time you enter the game. It does not matter what activity you played with the cheat active. You violated the TOS, which clearly states that the use of such software will result in your account being banned. Not sure why you seem to feel that you should somehow be excluded from the TOS, but Bungie disagrees.

2 RepliesYou're wrong. That is cheating and your ban is well earned. Your account is toast.

Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific. There has also been an increase in bans due to Network Manipulation. These are usually caused by you or a member of your pre-made fireteam doing something... less than honorable behind the scenes of your matches. If it was not you, then it was a member of your team and Bungie has no real way to determine how much or little you knew about the player who was doing it, but it should have been obvious is that something fishy was going on. One of the biggest indicators of network manipulation and the largest red flag to bail out of your team is when your enemy loses 1 or more players in numerous matches. This is the alarm to save your account and bail out of the team If you believe the ban was placed in error, feel free to submit an appeal on this Page. Please read all the info on the page before submitting the form at the bottom. • Since Bans are manually reviewed before being placed, the actual cause of the ban could have been any play session over the past few weeks. • If you received a Weasel error before the ban, this was due to the ban being placed. The game uses the weasel code to remove you from the game world. • Players are responsible for their online account and gaming hardware, and any actions taken in the world of Destiny, and should be careful of who they allow to access their Destiny account. • It is not necessary for a fraud attempt to be successful to get an account lockout. Just trying, whether successful or not, will be punished.
