What’s stopping this from happening? I suppose it’s not on the priority list atm, but I would like to see the option down the road.
-
it’s not going to happen. if you want a better experience you’re going to either have to wait it out for next gen or buy a pc.
-
1 ReplyExpect that option to come to PS5 and XB series X. Current console hardware can barely churn out 30fps at 90 FoV.
-
5 RepliesEdited by zJDz: 4/13/2020 9:26:24 PMConsole cpu couldn’t handle that. The FPS is too low. I have been playing on PC with 90+ FPS the last 3 months before that I was on Xbox. Last Saturday I tried to play destiny on Xbox. Omg it was like everything was in slow motion. I don’t know how I ever played at 30 FPS. I have decent pc when I am in orbit I have 240 FPS, pve usually is 120 FPS and pvp averages 90 FPS. I hope to build a better pc next year so that I could hopefully maintain 200-240 FPS in pvp. It makes a huge difference.

1 ReplyCurrent gen consoles cant handle it. "But X game can do it" Destiny 2 is extremely CPU heavy unlike other games, literally bringing up the FOV would kill your console Maybe next gen consoles if tjey promise something
-
They can't because it would break the performance limitation on consoles.
-
1 ReplyNeither the engine, nor two of the four base platforms (PS4/XB1 OEM) can handle the FoV And I’m sure as heck that Bungie would A: Charge Silver B: Mess it up anyway
-
DE finally figured out how to do it on console. I know, Destiny looks better, and I'm guessing the ancient game engine has something to do with it. It took DE a while, but they kept updating the community, and they figured it out. Bungie will pass it on to the team.
-
It already runs like garbage on console. It should be 60fps. Over 90fov would crash the game I imagine.
-
Bungie needs some help. They can’t even balance crucible.
-
What’s stopping this from happening? I suppose it’s not on the priority list atm, but I would like to see the option down the road.
Crash a lot more? More stuttering? Likely to see frames at sub 30 standard? FoV affects rendering things in view, the more stuff rendered in view, the harder it is on the console/platform. PS4/Xbox barely are running D2 as it is... and you want to add more stress on it???
-
It’ll literally brick your console.
-
30 RepliesEdited by TSGN Leviathan: 4/14/2020 7:28:49 PMYES THIS!!! Man not only have Warframe had this for a while, but they just recently made it even bigger! No excuse for it not being changeable other than laziness as far as I’m concerned.
-
Not enough computing power. Get a PC of you want more options on how the game plays.
-
While, we're on it, can we also have an option to turn off aim assist or whatever it's called? I am so tired of having to fight against my gun as I'm trying to target a boss behind a swarm of ads. Or, better yet, when I'm about to snipe someone in Crucible, and somebody running by drags my aim away. I run most games on console without aim assist, so it really wouldn't phase me.
-
2 RepliesRD2 has it DOOM eternal also my guess older consoles are holding back like what happened cyberpunk
-
Edited by CrashBang_XD: 4/14/2020 4:51:54 PMPlease do this for the new gen Went from Apex to D2 the other light and Hardlight was taking up half of my damn screen
-
20 RepliesIf Warframe on console could get a FOV slider, idk why Destiny couldn't.
-
11 RepliesNot gonna happen just like anti-cheat on pc. Bungie is focused on eververse.
-
IF this comes to consoles, I don't see it happening until Xbox Series X and PS5.
-
25 RepliesAs I said, If they can do it for The DIVISION on Console, they can do it for D2?
-
Higher FoV, more pixels to render. Now going to happen on current gen, tech is just old, I'm amazed what some developers.manage get out of them tbh.
-
1 ReplyBecause console

What’s stopping this from happening? I suppose it’s not on the priority list atm, but I would like to see the option down the road.
If they added that it would brick the current consoles lmao. Game can’t even manage going into the character screen to change weapons, without having a seizure
-
Bungie can't even get the game running faster than 30FPS on console. No way in hell they could add an FoV slider without a performance impact.
-
3 RepliesDo I really need to explain why rendering more things on your screen when the game already barely runs at a stable 30 on consoles is a bad idea for the 7th time?
-
Bungie has far more things to improve than this
