You're losing players & losing trust.

I have 3k+ hours in D2 alone. Members in my clan have similar hours and they're telling me they are leaving come September DLC. They won't be buying it and they're going to look elsewhere for entertainment like valorant. I'm personally going to just stick to Cyberpunk, and when that's out; I'm out. Hackers are everywhere, and you know it's BAD when they're doing it in quickplay. Banning hackers is far too slow. It took 2 weeks for one I reported to get banned, I have noted down steam profiles of blatant hackers that I check on to see if they have had a game ban each day (sad I know but it lets me know Bungie isn't doing anything about it) and they still aren't getting banned. Hackers STREAMING have not been banned. Connections in crucible are awful. Peer to peer is garbage. "Connection based matchmaking" seems to be a lie. I do NOT expect this to change for the simple fact that Bungie buying dedicated servers will gain you nothing but additional expense. Players would be happy but you guys would be paying for it so why bother? Time gating and seasonal content is boring. The only reason I'm booting up the game is to finish off season stuff (and I'm booting it up far less often since everything is time gated),I might follow suit with my clanmates and not buy the next big expansion. May as well play next season as I have paid for it. Is losing me and members of my clan a big loss? Well no, you have plenty of people who boot up the game to run 2 strikes and farm patrols on EDZ. Then they'll fork out $40 on eververse so that'll be enough to keep you going. However what you are losing at least with me going is someone who helps players out who never have the chance to run end game content, or solve difficult secrets. When zero hour dropped I sat in the Farm local chat asking if teams needed help to run this mission. I have ran both normal and heroic combined over 100 times helping individual teams through. Across all raids I have sherpa'd 271 people, many of whom had never done a raid and wouldn't have had the chance to. I have raided with many more, have ran 575 raids combined and taught so many people mechanics who never would have got the chance thanks to LFG standards. I have had people tell me I have given them confidence in their abilities in raids and they feel that they can join other groups asking for experienced players now. This acts as a ripple effect. An experienced player teaching people what they know and in turn they take that knowledge to others, it ripples through the community. I'm not the only one who does it, many more do. But at least with myself and my friends, come September we're going to stop, and you're going to lose some of that ripple effect. You're still going to have people playing. You're still going to have people helping others, but with people like us you're losing us. Maybe it doesn't matter to you though. Each new eververse drop you'll see revenue go up, and if people are paying that's a good thing right? We'll see. Time will tell if this game can keep people beyond superficial skins.

  • I'm leaving D2 probably after the next season, and I'm not coming back until Bungie fixes these major issues: Half the content in the game is being sold back to us from previous expansions and dlcs, but at a higher price. Sunsetting makes farming for a godroll worthless in a single year. Crucible is torture. That's all I can say. The game's content is no longer fun because it's just more of the same over and over again. Unless Bungie fixes at least two or three of these issues, I'm DONE with Destiny 2, and will consider the game a failure. That saddens me, because there is no replacement for it. Diablo, Overwatch, Fortnite, Borderlands, Cyberpunk, Subnautica, Halo, none of those do it for me. This might actually be the end of my video gaming life. A final message to Bungie: I love what you've made here. It's a great game for Sci-Fi and Fantasy buffs like me. However, if the interests of the players and fanbase aren't put ahead of the company's interests, this game won't last much longer. I'd hate to see this game stagnate because the issues plaguing it are never resolved.

  • Same played d2 from day 1 same as d1 And each time it gets worse . End game is shot. Guns don't work well or feel right. And we pay a fortune to lose 30 or 40 percent of the game . For a poor update. No thanks Back to d1 it is

  • Man i miss the days on D1 when dlc price was just a little overpriced. back then it was only a little pay to play. nowadays the game is pull pay to play with you being unable to play unless you buy ALL the dlc. i have spent a good 4 or 5 years on both destiny games and nothing has changed. i only recently tried to spark an interest back in D2 because i heard a rumor dlc was going to be free, boy was that rumor wrong. i used to be able to blame activision for the outrageous dlc prices, but now that they are not involved anymore, i know bungie deserved the blame from the beginning. i wont come back until dlc prices reduce drastically or become free.

  • People still pretending raids are "hard" rather than arbitrary shit that's so boring 95% of players avoid it? Gamers love hard content. Raids ain't hard. They're cheap. Big difference.

The pandemic has brought back some members of my clan...Now that they feel they have the time to play Problem 1. We attempted Calus for some new bloods in the clan... Worse raid ever I said. Problem 2. 989 LL Could not do a 750 level raid. Problem 3. Scaling enemies. It should be about player choice. If I want to squat on Calus, some ancient content, I've earned that right. Players should choose the level they wish to attempt. Problem 4. Guardians are powerless...that is, unless our money is doing charitable work for bungie. Otherwise... You're listening. Great. The raid. Enter the various communication problems, the lag, psions reappearing... Barriers not holding... Half of our teams emblems and LL were black. One third of the teams PS4's crashed. One player couldn't even get back on destiny. He was gone to us. Accessible only via phone. Destiny 2 is a failure. We aren't ever getting those two hours back. It was infuriating. Loading zones everywhere. In the tower? There is zero story evolution. Everywhere I turn in destiny all I see are problems... with nothing being done. Bungie consider yourself boycotted unless you fix this evil three year joke. The final problem is you don't see it as a problem.

      • They lost trust a long time ago, I've just been too stupidly addicted to care enough but now that the game is total shit and I feel zilch from not playing I don't plan on ever giving them the time of day again. I think this year long cash grab might finally be pissing people off enough to hurt them in the long run in lost return customers. I haven't touched EA in a long time, Bungie's on my list now too.

        • I got about 3k hours as well. And in those 3k hours I have learned 1 thing.... They don't care about losing people like us and here is why.... Veterans don't spend much on the game. We don't have to. We know how to farm the game, farm the loot, farm the currencies, and farm bright dust. This is what BungLe wants... Here is what I saw at the end of last season. At the beginning of Gambit, an opposing player (seasonal level 101 - had emblem on) flashed 4 seasonal emotes, each $10.00 each. So that one player, AT MINIMUM, spent $50.00 for a season. If he did that for a full year, thats a minimum of $200 vs the veteran's $40. So for every 4 veterans that quit, 1 eververse buyer fills those shoes. Let that sink in

            • Quit a month ago. I’m only here because I forgot to delete companion app. Just came back to see how it’s all going and WOW. It is grim here. I quit for all the reasons you guys are complaining. Jumped on COD Warzone with some friends. I won’t be back. Give it a try if you haven’t. (Or any other game tbh.) I’m really enjoying it over there. Don’t waste your time getting upset at things that are mostly out of your control or won’t change anytime soon. Enjoy your free time. That’s what gaming is all about. -blam!- having a second job as a bounty collector lol Destiny devs -blam!-ed up. It’s over. Clearly beyond repair. Deleting the app now. Prob won’t see any replies until D3 comes out in a few years. Whoever reads this, thanks for the memories guys and GG!

Here's the deal, Bungie doesn't care. You know why? Because they have learned that anytime you guys throw a fit over their latest debacle, you get tired of being mad and ranting after a few days and go right back to playing their game. They know they just have to go radio silent until you stop. The only way you'll truly EVER see changes is if you stick to your guns and continue to resist. Don't play, don't buy their microtransactions, and don't stop complaining. It's really quite simple.

                • Its pretty sad when nearly everything in this game is based around bounties/tokens and that's it. I actually miss D1 as it ended up being a good game..not sure how they went from that to this

                  • I logged in to play some D2 last night, sat in orbit for a couple minutes then closed the game down again. Like i want to play it but there's just nothing really pulling me in like there was before.. Seraph Towers is terrible as a public event, the bunkers are grindy and boring to level up and the rewards are just severely lacking all round. With any luck i can just start earning a bunch of that seasonal currency while playing Iron Banner next week instead.

                      • I have over 7,000 hours into this franchise, and I finally just said -blam!- it. I can't do the boring, pointless grind anymore. I can grind for an hour in Borderlands 3 and get a ton of legendaries, have more fun, and be overpowered as -blam!-. Gearbox has done a few nerfs here and there, but they've done a ton of buffs to weapons and skill trees too. Plus, they have constant weekly events, and weekly hotfixes. For the amount of staff Bungie has, it's pathetic that they can't do the same.

                          • I just wanna put this into perspective. While working on finishing the flashpoint, I saw so many different instances with active escalation protocol that it took much longer to do four public events than it should have. On the other hand, I've spent the last hour trying my best to find an instance with people doing the seraph tower on IO. No luck with LFG either. People just arent doing it.
